Hm.. How much is the actual dollar value of the 20%(from where you are and with currency etc) ? I feel like if the difference is only 20%, then it's worth the money to take less of a gamble and get it from the store authentic. Plus this way you have the whole package of the shopping bag, box, the receipt and the dust bag in case you want to resale, which increases the value compared to the ones that doesn't. But I feel like if you're willing to spent large amount to LV, it's kind of a bag you wouldn't really resell. Another plus is the whole hassle of bidding war(and why do they bid 6 days BEFORE the end day????) and you can choose pristine conditioned bag at a exact colour you want.

I feel like the whole eBay thing, number one is the money. It's really expensive to live where I'm from so the savings definitely is a big factor. In Canadian dollar I would be paying between $200 - $600, depending on the colour. Black seem to be more competitive than yellow(although I want both and can't really decide). Second reason I want to buy preloved is so I can restore it. I've watched enough of Youtube videos and find it addictive, so I want to try it and feel proud that I managed to restore it. I feel like you're looking for a very specific discontinued colour. So if you do find it and succeed in bidding(or buying) in eBay it would feel much more fulfilling than just going to the store and getting it. Oh, and I prefer brass hardwares to silver toned in newer ones.

If it's something like monogram/vachetta I would want to buy brand-new to age it myself(although I know people who buy Noe gets secondhand specifically to avoid the hassle of aging vachetta).

I agree entirely with your opinion. My "holy grail" colour is Lilac (taupe) (circa 2000) and I have not found any on EBay or other websites for preowned bags. So I thought I would go for the next colour that appealed to me, Toledo Blue, on eBay. I have never owned an Epi and do not know how it can be restored so to get one in good condition means those close to US$500. That's a lot in my currency (Malaysian Ringgit) which keeps depreciating lately.:(
The 20% price difference (buying from my country) plus tax refund means quite a hefty sum converted to my currency. With that savings, I could get another preowned luxury bag (LV is still my fav). I bought my first preowned Monogram last year, a Petit Noe, and was/am still very happy with my purchase.

I don't live anywhere near an LV store so that's why I am contemplating taking advantage of my colleague's trip to Spain to get a new Epi Petit Noe. The only colours they have now are Noir, Indigo and Fuchsia. The first two are too serious for a fun bag like Petit Noe hence I'm only left with Fuchsia. If I could have my way, I would still go for the Lilac but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Lol.

You're very welcome. The rubber tip was given to me by a Milano SA from LV. But i did it several times on the same spots (love dark blue jeans) and the leather became sensitive on this small places. One time to remove the spot should be fine though.

I just wanted to let you know that I found a better solution than using a damp cloth (after trying and unhappy with the result). I switched to a microfibre cloth with water (slightly damp) and the stain is now looking so much lighter. Microfibre seems more effective and is gentler too. Will have to work on it a few more times.

I just purchased a preloved petit noe. I'm seriously thinking of getting the vachetta dyed black. I love the look of the black with the monogrammed canvas. I was quoted $655 to have the vachetta replaced at LV and that's for the old model...my bag is 30 years old! Any petit noe lovers with dyed vachetta?

There is a Facebook page devoted to rehabbing LVs: Re-LVoed Creations. Lots of helpful hints. Also, Little Mama's House on YouTube has some great how-to videos - if you're adventurous ☺

If you're still looking for a Toledo Blue, there is one from this Japanese reseller: https://global.elady.com/products/detail.php?product_id=51326
I've purchased from them before and they are reputable. Shipping was about six days (I'm in the U.S).

For those of us who love deep patina, I wanted to share these shots of a 20-year old Petite Noe I am rehabbing. The first three shots are "before," and last three "after." Even though the bag was dirty, it was nearly spotless on the inside and the canvas was in good shape. The vachetta was dirty all over and scratched on the base, but the scratches weren't deep and the leather wasn't cracked. So I cleaned it up with saddle soap and leather conditioner, and ended up with a pretty nice bag with lots of character. I need to go over the vachetta again but at least it's usable now.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job! That's my dream job! Where did you get your petit noe and do you mind sharing your price? :)

From Rumbabird's picture you chose a great colour. Hope you can find and rehab it!!!
