I really like this idea but I am really afraid of color transfer from the dye. Would love to know whether or not I would have to worry about color transfer prior to attempting this project.Just wanted to share some pics I found on IG (these are not my pics). Do you know if there is a difference between paint and dye in terms or color transfer. I have seen painted speedys and they look beautiful and it looks like they are set in pretty well and will not transfer. Maybe black paint instead of dye. IDK.... just thinking about options because I love this idea.Once the dye is dry, I don't think there is color transfer. I did this to a Musette Tango. Now, that being said, I haven't been caught in a down pour with it. Not sure what would happen if it got wet.
