Is the strap drop on Caissa longer than on the NM Delightful MM?

I measured the strap drop on my Caissa Hobo and it's about 16cms from the middle of the strap. I don't have the NM MM but have the NM PM and it's longer on the Caissa but with the delightfully they collapse or fold down so you have more of a strap drop whereas the Caissa doesn't fold down and the canvas is not as soft and flexible as the delightful. Here's a mod shot, I'm 5'4 .. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1449798613.686279.jpg

Thanks fyn. I guess I was thinking that there was a bit of slouch to the cassia. I appreciate you taking the time to measure for me. ;)

Hi everyone. I have a major dilemma!! I just discovered that the Metis hobo is being discontinued. So i ran out and purchased the last one in all of Canada. It is beautiful!! I've always been a Monogram girl and never thought a Damier Ebene bag would ever catch my eye. Then I saw the gorgeous Caissa with the red lining. I am in love...

So my dilemma is this: the Metis has the two removable straps; the amazing outside pocket which no LV purse ever has; very little vachetta so I can wear this bag all year round and not have to worry about inclement weather; will only be able to purchase pre-loved if I return this one. VS the Caissa even though: I'd have to get the separate DE strap since I can't handle a bag right under my armpit; the loose screw issue is frightening; none of my accessories match the DE, which I know isn't really an issue but I really do love having my wallet and etc match; I can still purchase this bag in the future since it's a new model and should be available for a while yet (if they don't discontinue it due to its so-far flawed design).

So there you have it everyone. Please let me know your thoughts and opinions... Thanks :)

Reading this it sounds to me like you've answered your own question. having the Metis. You could save and get the Caissa at a later date. I don't find that mine sits right under my armpit

Let me know if you have any luck getting a free repair or replacement on the bag. When I took mine in to the store the SA just took a pic of the problem area and told me he will show it to repair tea and get back to me. I have not hear anything yet and it's been a week. I know glazing might be an issue, but shouldn't happen so soon on such a expensive bag right?

Hello Caligurl99 and the other dear Ladies,

Update from my previous post: I took my bag in to LV at the 23. December. My SA wasn't there and onother one told me, they will look at it and decide, what to do. Yesterday my SA was in the store, I told him the problem and asked, if they have made a decision. He speaks to the store Manager and they gave me -after a long discussion between them- a new one. A second SA - which is responsible for the repairs- told me, that this glanzing problem is well known and gave me the advice and possibility, to chose another bag. They can't repair the glazing, it is impossible. And she told me, that it is propable, that it will happen again and than they can't give me a new one again. If I do have problems with the screws, they will and can always repair it. I had to decide: a new bag, other style or this style and live with wear and tear. I need a bigger bag for work and I think I'm the only one, which couldn't handle the Neverfull (too thin and short handles, afraid of creases in Epi leather,,wide open,...), i didn't have really other options. The Babylone was twice in price and I love love love the look of the Caissa Hobo. Long story short: I took the new Caissa Hobo. I still love her and decided, a little wear and tear at my daily work bag is ok. I would all of you let you know about this problem and no repair possibilities, I hope, you all can understand my english and the point of my long story [emoji4]

That's good that they gave you a new one, I was happy when I got a new one as they are very hard to get in Australia. I accept there may be wear and tear but I do take very good care of my bags and love wearing this one [emoji5]️ enjoy it!

My husband bought me the Caissa bag for Christmas. I love it so much and reading through this thread has made me anxious about the potential problems. I guess I'll carry it and hope for the best.

BTW, this is my first post and I'm enjoying hearing about everyone's experiences!

Hi Nivahra,

Thanks for the update! I'm glad your SA was willing to provide you a replacement! I will try to bring my bag back and see what they can do for me. When did you bought yours? I bought mine in November. Anyways Happy New Year!
