Brad Pitt: My Feelings For My Family Are Indescribable

brad_shiloh.jpg

There's no denying that the Jolie-Pitt family continues to spark the public's interest, as countless interviews with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie consistently turn toward the six loves of their lives: Maddox Chivan, 7, Pax Thien, 5, Zahara Marley, 3 ½, Shiloh Nouvel, 2 ½, and fraternal twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon, 5 months next week. However, despite their willingness to briefly discuss their family, Brad finds himself uncomfortable, as he is unable to completely put into words his utter amazement over his kids. "There's no way to give true validity and weight and what it means to you in your life," says Brad, who admits that his words "get cheap as [they] go through the filters and the airwaves."
Talking with Today Show host Ann Curry on the site of his New Orleans renovation project Make It Right, an elated Brad shares that he is "proud" of his family that has ties to all parts of the world. "I look at my sons and daughters. One's from Vietnam and one's from Cambodia. One's from Ethiopia and there's this kid who was born in Namibia...and France," gushes the 44-year-old. As he jokes that "surprisingly, though, six kids is not as easy as you would think," Brad -- who admits that the act of adoption is "selfish too, you know what you get out of it" -- says that his home is made special with each child adding "so much to the mix."
"They're playing, they're brothers and sisters man. And they're fighting, and they're laughing, and going into hysterics and staying up late, and they're messing with their parents, and they're driving me crazy. I truly feel rich. I just feel rich being around them."
With the same sense of passion he has for his family of eight, Brad takes on a certain fierceness when it comes to the constant following of paparazzi - a group of people he blatantly says he "has no respect for." While the actor is understanding of the press on the red carpet events, Brad feels that a clear line must be drawn and calls for a "distinction between" a typical awards show and a celebrity family having to endure photographers "calling out your kids' names...so they'll look that way" as they walk their children to school. Unable to "understand how [paparazzi] can live their lives that way," Brad is hopeful that future laws will prevent -- or at least control -- the madness that seems to follow the brood around the world. He adds,
"Let me be very blunt -- I hate these people. I don't understand that they do that for a living. I do not like them. There should be laws against them, they should not be able to follow kids like this. But there's not, so that's the way it is."

I missed the interview..but I truely understand when he says the paparazzi are crossing the line when it comes to them wanting family time in the public lime light. They should be left alone in that sense.

Brad Pitt: I Have An Unusual Family

Brad Pitt joins CNN’s Larry King on Wednesday to chat about his family, his latest movie, and his continued efforts to help rebuild New Orleans, Louisiana.
On how his kids keep him young (or not): I have so many. No, man, it wears you out. Are you kidding? I’m aging fast.
On why his family draws such attention: It’s quite complimentary. But, you know–and I think it is an interesting family. It’s not your usual family… I’m quite interested in my family, actually, so, I don’t–I certainly don’t see it as anything less than a compliment.
On having more children: I don’t know. I can’t find a reason why not–just yet.
On President-elect Barack *****: Oh, man. I think, overnight, we redefined what America’s about. I couldn’t be any happier and more hopeful for the–for America, for the upcoming–in the upcoming years.
On the new moustache: (Joking) It’s political, Larry. It’s political. I’m making a stand for men with moustaches. I don’t think they get treated fairly… I’m currently in Berlin [Germany] now, filming a Quentin Tarantino film. And I am a man with a moustache.

Brad Pitt Says Selling Baby Photos Was 'Really Strange'

During a Wednesday appearance on Larry King Live, Brad Pitt revealed that the decision to pose for PEOPLE with newborn twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon, 5 months next week, was not an easy one to make. Nor, Brad said, was the decision to pose with daughter Shiloh Nouvel, 2 ½, in 2006. Although it feels "really strange" to sell baby photos for millions of dollars, the 44-year-old actor and partner Angelina Jolie ultimately decided that the reward outweighed the risk. "There's a bounty on our heads, and these pictures are going to come out at some point," Brad explained. "They're going to be chasing us, and they're going to go to the ends of the earth to get these photos."
"We just thought, well, maybe we could -- since there's such a bounty, and that bounty is so obnoxious, we could take that money and funnel it to something good. And that's what we decided to do. It's still a bit uncomfortable to do such a thing, but I know it's right in the end. That was a decision we made."
While he may hate the paparazzi, the public fascination with his family of eight is something Brad says he understands, and even considers "quite complimentary." He adds,
"I think it is an interesting family. It's not your usual family."
As the holiday season rapidly approaches, Brad has much to be thankful for. "Everyone's healthy, so we're all happy," he said. The couple's efforts to celebrate the heritages of each of their children at Christmas remains a work in progress, however, as those children are primarily focused on their presents -- and not much else! "You know, we tried a little something last year, but the kids are so young, it just didn't mean much, really," he said. "But we're getting there; You know, as they get older, they'll start to understand more."
In addition to Knox, Vivienne and Shiloh, Brad and Angelina are parents to Maddox Chivan, 7, Pax Thien, 5 and Zahara Marley, 3 ½.
