The Borough Bag

I'd like to preface my post by saying that I am LOVING ALL of your reveals...large, medium, mini, "regular" and "soft," all mixed medias -- suede, grommets, etc. They're gorgeous bags. That's undeniable.

But has anyone wondered at ALL why they're still calling the Borough Bag the "Borough" if certain versions only come with 3 compartments total? I mean, they called it "the Borough" after the 5 Boroughs of New York. Did NYC lose a couple of boroughs that I didn't know about? Call me picky, but it just doesn't make any sense. It's kind of amusing, in a way.

I saw this borough yesterday in Coach.....AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, I NEED IT!!! The inside is a deep purple and it's so so so pretty, it's an open tote style so there isn't the 3compartments with zippers, it's the med or regular borough size and the price tag is $798, I didn't want to give it back, it's on my bag wish list for now....has anyone else seen this one yet?

This bag was on my want list, and I went to FP to try it out. It's stunning, but as soon as I put it on my arm it was uncomfortable due to the rough handles. IMO I could only carry it wearing a long sleeve top or jacket.

I love the profile of this bag. I like it with the handles up or across like this even crossbody. Much cuter than handles down. Sits flatter against your body too.

That bag looks AMAZING on you. I agree about the profile as well. So sleek!!

I have been enamored with the borough style since it came out, but always held off...mainly b/c it irritated me that I couldn't use the discount codes, ha!!

But I finally pulled the trigger yesterday on the olive fatigue saffiano one. I think the new gold logo (as opposed to the stamping) really put it over the edge for me. I can't wait to receive it. I haven't bought a Coach in ages!

I got mine on clearance at Von Maur, iirc it was around 260.

This borough is of course fabulous! The leather lining is veery close to the new pick your color LV has to offer and what makes it worse is that you SImply must get the matching wallet to complete the look, right?!

You get used to the handles easily because they are thin. I assure you.

Thank you! I knew it came in the medium as my store was one of the pilot stores so I got to molest it in person. I was hoping it hadn't disappeared!

I would die to be able to carry off the large in the
Olive Grey but I had to settle for a soft camel. I don't own a camel bag and always wanted one so I guess I'll be okay. Spoiled , oh so spoiled!

That's why the new name is the "Soft Borough" I guess. They are trying to stay with NYC names such as Uptown, Downtown and Crosstown.

It's love... My first "soft" borough in brick. It has brown undertones but the color is very rich. First 2 pics are outside, then inside and a comparison next to my first love, pebbled borough. I know the colors are so similar but I just couldn't resist.
