Hey all, I'm not sure where to post this. For many years, I was friends with Sheree Lunn on TPF and through our many fb groups. She and I ran the RM group together. I don't remember her PF name. (Sometimes I take breaks from TPF when I need to save money. :amuse:) Anyhow, I was searching for her the other day, and, sadly, an obit popped up. She had moved from NYC to FL sometime after the pandemic and passed away in 2023. I'm assuming it was cancer, since it was asking for donations to the ACS. I just wanted to let people know, since I haven't found anything on TPF about it...although I'm not eally sure where to search - I only looked for "Sheree" and nothing came up.
Sheree loved her Bbags, Celine and Rebecca Minkoff. She was branching out into Coach and LV when we lost touch. If there is a thread for her, please direct me to it. Thanks so much!

Try checking with Vlad or the mods to find out her PF name. I'm sorry.

Oh my, I bought all 3 velos I have about a year ago, and each was less than $600, all in amazing conditions. I week now why I didn’t get more nice bags while the low season listed. Even a beautiful gris tarmac City with rose gold hardware was $480 in Yoogi’s, amazing condition. Long lost chances.

I'm still kicking myself over passing up a 2005 turquoise day bag for around $300 because I thought it might be too close to aquamarine.

Hi ladies I didn’t know where to post this but was curious about this bag 😂
It’s in men’s collection which I have no problem buying from because …well …it’s still a bag 😉
I was looking for utilitarian type stuff for when I’m in really dirty places like rodeos and stuff. This seems to fit the bill perfectly
Thoughts?

Honestly?
I wouldn’t spend $1100 for a bag to be used the way you described. I’d use a much less expensive bag/tote in places where there’s a greater risk of the bag being damaged or dirty.

There’s an older thread about totes in the General Handbag forum


But I bet there are others scattered throughout tPF if you wanted a tote from a specific designer

I love it! Do you need something that can be carried over the shoulder, or hand carry? Bal makes these nylon totes that are pretty roomy and sturdy. I lust after them incessantly, but they are for hand carry only. This one looks like a good option for shoulder carry as well. It think it's very chic.

JMO…..Recycled nylon sounds like it will recover from any and all manner of beatings! It would probably last through years of abuse, and look super cool while doing it.

If the size is right for your use, recycled nylon should be durable like Connie mentioned. I don't have direct experience with this bag and material myself so can't comment further on it. If the return policy is reasonable for you, you can get it first and check to see how tight the nylon weave is. If any light gets through, dirt and mud could get trapped inside and make it hard to clean. As an added layer of protection, perhaps you could use a waterproof nylon protector spray on it.

I adore the very military/utility type look it has but it’s still very much a good designer piece. I always prefer a bit of designer even when I’m working in the dirt 😂
I definitely buy my bags to wear and love, but don’t like carrying the really expensive leather ones and prefer less flashy.
I probably should have added that I do use a Prada nylon tote that has been truly amazing for the exact same purpose. 10 years and it is finally ready to retire. The new Prada nylon is not as durable it seems so I sent the replacement back. I will use it for a lot of more dirty type outings, horse stuff, agriculture conventions, shooting range, grandkids 4-h activities type of stuff.
The recycled nylon I usually find incredibly resilient to most “beatings” I would put it through. I was hoping that the Balenciaga would fit the criteria perfectly. It’s absolutely adorable and would be very fun to use!
I appreciate every bit of help ❤️ I may just buy it to get it in my hands so I can really know!
I’ll keep you posted in case anyone else was thinking about trying it out too 😊
