@Letter Haha it’s not just you! It’s the most common complaint about herbags! LolDo you not find it hard to open and close due to the heft of the metal “stud” falling forward/in but needing to be kind of up to get the leather hole/flap over it? I’ve been struggling with this and wondering if it’s just me. I can do a Kelly one handed but a Herbag I have to sit it down and use two hands and I’m just clumsy at it so far 😢
I still love a herbag. I am just inept.
I think it helps that I’ve used my herbag a lot as a crossbody bag…but I tend to like high crossbody and will often wear my Kelly’s crossbody 🫣lol. Having it closer to me gives more stability to the bag as I open and close it. To close one handed, just press the front panel onto the stud, hold it in place with my 4th/5th fingers (so the front panel doesn’t flop forward) and use the rest of my fingers to pull leather tab down, then use the back of my hand to smoosh the leather tab and herbag against me so that there’s space between the leather tab and metal holes for the “sangles” to go through, then slide the sangles in. To open, I pull apart the “sangles”, push the leather tab in towards my body then pull downward and away to release from the metal stud.
I’ve used it quite a bit over the past year so the leather flap has more easily formed in that curved position to fit the metal stud through it.
Sorry for the long technical writing but hopefully that all makes sense 😅😂 and is helpful!
