I managed to buy a Herbag 39 on h.com this week

Sorry just saw this. I ordered Red coated canvas online last summer and so excited but Hermes canceled my order , saying I exceeded my quota that season. I purchased 2 Herbags online prior to that and returned one due to size issue. I had no clue there is quota system online for bags. My SA said there is no such thing but online it didn't allow me to order any bags

IMO it would be too big / too heavy for you, i'm 5"2 and sold mine because of that, i found it overwhelming on my frame

It will be too big! I am 5'2" and purchased Herbag 39 to use it as a work bag but it was too huge and felt heavy. So I returned it.

I just started collecting Hermes and have began with a vintage Herbag. I love it, but does anyone know what I’m supposed to do with the clip hanging at the end of the strip of leather intended to hold clou de selle against the canvas? Is the clip intended to hold a keychain? Thanks!

I just ordered a Herbag 31 in the coated canvas. Will I need a base shaper or insert? Wondering if the coated canvas will sag without it when filled with stuff?

I have an insert, mainly for organizing my things. Coated canvas will still sag if it gets heavy inside.

I’d suggest using an insert, the coated canvas isn’t really any more structured than the non coated canvas and will sag. It’s the design of the base of the bag, it’s kind of inevitable.

Here's my Herbag 31 with organizer. It definitely adds more structure, which I really like. I wonder if I need to shorten the twilly ends, though.
