Greetings again, club friends!
As it turns out, my PM agenda is a little too small for me to manage my life, my family and my work. Saw that one coming. It's such a great size for just quick notes and stuff, but as a daily driver of a big planner - oops.

My MM agenda is pretty beat. It's old. Darn thing has seen better days and although it worked through my previous job, I dont know how much longer it's hanging on for.

I'm looking towards the GM, but I am extremely interested in the desk agenda. I like the thought of putting whatever agenda I like inside. I understand you wont really walk around with it and write in it, I normally have mine on a desk all day anyway - but I'm worried about the agenda falling out of the cover. Do any of you have the desk agenda??

I have the DA and don't have trouble with the notebook/planner falling out the cover, just need to ensure you buy the correct size which should be A5. Obviously a thicker/heavier notebook will slide less than a thin one. If you want to ensure the cover stays closed you can buy an elastic pen band ( I got one from Kikki K) that slips around the cover and will hold it closed.

I just want to say how much I love my Damier Graphite Agenda MM. I could see going for the GM if that works better for your needs - but the PM would be WAY too small for my purposes. The MM seems to be the sweet spot, IMO.

A coworker of mine has the mono desk agenda and she just puts a spiral notebook in it & carries it in her work bag. It doesn’t fall out of the cover & she loves it. We discussed it one day after a meeting. I was going to get one for notes but the way my stand up desk at work is set up I really need a notebook to be able to open 360 degrees so I got a Levenger softolio with the circa notebook. Both can open 360. The desk agenda I think I’d ruin the glazing quickly by doing that.

I have the GM agenda that I’ve been using at home. The size is perfect but it’s heavy. If you don’t need to carry it around it’s wonderful. The desk agenda is lighter weight. Good luck!

I also have agendas in PM and MM. I actually always struggled with the ring component. I had the feeling especially in the PM but similar in the MM, that I could not use the whole sheet of papr properly because my hand get stuck/hindered by the rings.

I got the desk agenda 2-3 years ago, and I definetely prefer that one over the normal agenda. I have the Hobonichi planner inside it. Actually I like that the desk agenda is thinner than eg. the GM agenda. It is large, but that makes it easier to write or journal in it.

It is defininetely worth taking a look at the desk agenda in person.

I have a long history with planner/Agendas. In the 80s I had a Filofax, my whole life was in it. Credit cards, passport, airline tickets, lots of cash (credit card fraud was endemic in the countries I was visiting for work, so cash was a better choice).
It was falling apart after years of hard use. It split right up the back die to being forced flat and dry leather. I bought an A4 Montblanc Organiser in Singapore airport and used that for a few years, but it was too big and heavy. It now sits on the bookshelf.

After the Montblanc I bought another Filofax - a soft leather Kensington. That worked fine, but over time more of its contents ended up on my iPhone. I eventually bought a LV PM in Taiga green. It contains what I would need if I lost my phone, had it stolen, it broke, or just had a dead battery. It works well - I have a small notepad tucked in the back, and I jot down short notes in meetings, it has a pull out planner, and three months of a page a week agenda - last month, this month and next month. I can get 3 credit cards in it, and it fits in a jacket pocket.

Perfect solution. And in Taiga green it attracts far less attention than a Monogram PM would.

Help! I bought a preloved agenda mm and the binder clip part completely detached from the canvas the first time that I opened the metal rings. Apparently this is a known design flaw (of course, I didn’t know about it until it happened ).

Is there a DIY repair that I can attempt at home? (dropping it off at LV for repair isn’t an option for me right now)
