Yay Goyard. I'm going to NYC this weekend, so I'll get to see the bags at Barneys, but I'm going to hold off on buying them because I'm planning a trip to Paris sometime this year or next.

Hi Winternight,

Yes, you should buy your Goyard in Paris -- prices are way cheaper than in Barney's! I bought an orange Fidji hobo when I went to Paris last month. I got it for Euros 715 or roughly US$880 (vs. US$1054? in Barney's). The price is different if you want a more basic color like black or black/tan (cheaper!). I also asked for a tax refund form from them and had it stamped on my way back home.

I had a hard time finding the Goyard store at St. Honore -- it was because I was at the wrong side(should have gone left instead of right :p ) -- but it was definitely worth the long walk! The store is pretty unassuming and not all the bags are on display -- I saw mostly trunks and a few hobos and totes but that was it.

I'm excited for you! :-) You'll definitely enjoy the experience of buying your Goyard bag in Paris  -- is this the first one for you?

Alexandra, this is a great thing you are doing for us, PF baghags! :-)....I didn't get to see the Chanel, Tod's, Gucci, YSL and Hermes stores because I spent a lot of time looking for the Goyard store, so it will be great if you can show pics of the 'goodies' inside those stores! Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing the latest pics at Goyard as well :-)

Hello, ok, so, I am back....let me make this list and try to find my way out this week, ladies=)...such a pleasure! And, I bought a second battery for my camera, so, we are in business this time! Stay tuned!

Please stop by Hermès! Thanks in advance.

Last summer, they had a BEAUTIFUL window display at Hermes...I almost had a heart attack, however, seeing a darling green bag sitting in the natural moss...taking the water....it was such a beautiful bag, it seemed like abuse to see it getting water damaged in that way! I was on my way to a meeting, but I couldn't help but go in gently and suggest something be done about it to the, what shall I call her...."door greeter"? I was discrete...not wanting to cause any embarrassment for the institution... and, you know, she simply shrugged her shoulders looking at me as if it were a canvas tote from Monoprix:blink:...confused as to why I was whispering?

I am going to put this incident behind me, just for you, Vanguardia, and bring myself to not only look at their display, but take photos...I hope it will not be too hard to bear this time....
