Went to Bangkok for a quick trip last week, we were staying a stone’s throw from Central Embassy so naturally swung by the Hermes there for a looksee. The SAs seemed very uninterested to serve us, a couple would avert their eyes when I tried to catch their attention; when I finally cornered one and asked if they had any (a) Calvis, (b) leather bracelets with silver hardware, and (c) leather or wooden change trays, the answer to each of them was an immediate no without having to check. I got the hint and decided to pop over to Siam Paragon instead. There, I was greeted warmly by an SA upon entry, who produced a couple of Calvis to choose from, complimented my choice of colour for my Mini K, and brought out a Bearn wallet in vert fizz and a few other small items (twillies, bracelets, etc) to look at. Pre-departure, I stuck my head in the airport store and picked up a twilly, twilly ring, and a Fingerskate charm (which I’d never seen before and immediately loved). None of the stores that I went to seemed to have any bags available, all displays were marked as such, and they didn’t seem to have any of the more sought after styles either (only saw some Kelly Depeches pouches, Herbag Cabine, etc). So, yep, seems like there’s hardly any stock in Bkk too!
