I believe it is just under 3 carats but the platinum makes the bracelet quite heavy.

I am a big fan of Swarowski but have to say that the brilliance of their crystals is nothing like that of a diamond. This is for the reason that crystals have no fire. I would explain it as fire comes from within and is much deeper than the sparkle of a crystal. They are not comparable. I love crystals and love vintage rhinestones and everything that sparkles but nothing is comparable to the real thing. I am also planning on getting a tennis bracelet but definitely not such a high caratweight one. I would recommend sacrificing size for cut as cut is the most important factor in brilliance and of course clarity is too. Whiteflash in my opinion has great color and clarity with the best cut, I would most definitely recommend hearts and arrows diamonds in your bracelet. I would not recommend getting it from Tiffany even though I love some Tiffany designs because I think that the quality of your diamonds is the most important in this case. I just looked at them and a 10 carat would be around 25k even on Whiteflash, I myself am only considering 2-3 carats:))). Those are not expensive but of course much smaller too. Prices go up exponentially as the carat weight increases.

My tennis bracelet is 14 TCW. I think it looks very close to the Swarowski bracelet in size.

AllinTHEbag...your bracelet is gorgeous, love the bezel!!! If you are nervous about the safety clasp, I had a safety chain attached for extra security. Very easy to do.

OVincze...cut is important, can make a G color really sparkle!

skyqueen, this is it!

Now I know what I am saving for :graucho:

Today I had a look at some diamonds, all excellent cut. I had the impression that the inclusions made a bigger difference than the colour.
Thanks Lovely :hugs:
G/SI1, but the cut is excellent...which makes a big difference. I just had everything checked and replated and the jeweler gave me a new appraisal...the damn bracelet went up 6K since I bought it.
I started with a 7 TCW, went to 10 TCW, then 12 TCW (flower design...not me) and finally this one. I'm done and happy!
If you can find a jeweler who will upgrade...start smaller and work your way up. Just make sure the jeweler honors the original price.

ALLinTHE Bag

I have that same bracelet and falling off was a problem. Thank goodness the times I dropped it I was able to find it quickly. My kept falling off so they put a safety chain and it still fell off. So they changes the clasp. If you want a picture PM me.

Another advantage for us older ladies. Much of our jewelry we've had for several years & if you bought right, the stuff actually went up in value.

LOL! I'm STILL 39...I'm sticking to that story!!!
The bracelet may have gone up, but what I'd actually get (in the real world) might be very different.

You said it. And is why I will now only buy the expensive stuff at auction or second hand, if it comes with a GIA etc. (Let the original owner take the money hit buying new. I've bought Tiffany etc items as low as 80% off the original cost at auction. Which was still expensive!)

Not trusting of jewelers now.

Hell...I wished I lived closer to you. Would love to go to an auction with someone who knows the ropes!

Yeah, that is about the size I would like:))) since I can only afford much smaller right now I may not make a compromise and just wait, so sad diamond prices have gone up so much recently, it happened when I was looking and then darn, may have to wait now.
