Tell me why I should/should not get a Sugar Stack ring

What about going with a Pomellato Nudo ring? They are gold - yellow, rose, or white, so they actually will be pricier, but you will, IMO, be getting more for your money.

This is what I was going to suggest. I have two nudos and have compared them to Tiffany's stack rings and the Pomellatos are IMO far superior.

Well I finally broke down & bought it! I know it is overpriced, but I love it! I got the small one, in rose quartz:

I saw the Pomelleto in person and they are so gorgeous, but I have teeeny hands and fingers, they are just not for me. Even the small sugar stack is a slightly prone to twisting, I will probably get bumps added in...

The one I tried on before was the clear, which my SA pointed out almost toally dissapears from view. The rose looks almost clear (it is a fairly clean stone), but in more of a "nude" way, where it picks up my skin tone and looks totally pretty.

I looked everywhere to get something similar for cheaper, but haven't found it - the way that the stone is so smooth & clear (not faceted), the way that the setting is so simple, the way that the stone is close to the band and not all up high, the way that the prongs are subtly sculpted and "melted" looking, I am just crazy about it....

Also I was looking for a right-hand ring that would not compete too much with my simple gold wedding band, & this is just perfect. :D

I will post pics soon - once i get my camera issues all worked out.

I think there are much better Tiffany designs other than the Sugar Stack rings. They just don't appeal that much to me. I love the cushion cut cocktail rings in yellow gold or even the emerald cut silver cocktail rings that come in praseolite, smokey quartz, citrine and amethyst. If you were going to spend that much, its worth the extra to get a stunning ring like one of those :)

Heres the link for the amethyst:

I guess its not an everyday ring for some but I just find them so gorgeous!

I read that you did get the rose quartz. I think in the sugar stacks, the amethyst and the rose quartz are probably my faves.. As long as you love it and you are going to get lots of wear out of it, thats all that should matter.
Enjoy your lovely new ring! :)

Thanks for the good wishes! The poor SA's, I made several trips and tried on EVERY ring in the silver dept. The one you linked sooo gorgeous, but just not for me...

To me it is more of a "personal" ring, something that feels really good to wear and look at, not so much of a "statment" if that makes sense.

I came across your post and wanna say I think you made the right choice :) I just bought the rose quartz in silver ring very recently as I heard Tiffany is discontinuing this line. I saw the ring online and bought it out of gut feeling it will look good and indeed, when I got it in person, I felt it is stunning, especially since I haven’t seen any rose [emoji257] quartz that is of such high quality that it is evenly translucent with no inclusions and how it looks a different hue fr different angles. Are you still enjoying yours in 2019?
