Would not get my BV python wet. I'm not taking a chance with it.

I use Bicks 4 on python & ostrich

I had a pair of Crocodile Loafers they were so comfortable.

The shoe color did fade over time my girlfriend had the same shoe pulled hers new out of the box they were totally faded.

Also, my girlfried left her Crocodile Loafers in the box for about 1 year unworn.

Any advice specifically on python? I've been told not to get it wet but others here say that's not a problem. Will the scales peel off in time?

I have a pair of python boots they are very durable never faded the color and no scales peeling off.

Also, I would think a handbag would be the same durable:D

Has any TPFers seen the 'step by step' on how they process croc's skin? I've seen a documentary in S'pore and it's not very pretty pics. The whole process is 'yucky' and the end product is amazing.
Each time I thought of any exotic or non exotic leather, it puts me off buying any in future. I can't forget.....
