I have a Chanel python flap bag and they recommend a conditioning every year or two. The color came back even more beautiful and rich!

Python is extremely light and easy to carry. Also, don't have to worry about wet weather as it can withstand a soaking!

I used to be very careful with it but the Nancy Gonzalez specialist had an unstructured python tote and she was literally squishing that thing around and twisting it and kept talking about how durable it is.

Here's my python bag. Before and After condition this past fall.

^Yes it was funny because when I first bought the bag it said "dark pink" on the tag. Well, looking at the bag I couldn't see a HINT of pink in it.

then I send it in for conditioning and YOWSA!!

Thanks for the compliments on the bag - I love her! I fell in love with the tassle ....

I have been searching for this type of information for a long time!! Thanks Ladies....just a few more questions...how do you condition python....is there anything in particular I should put on it....I just spent a fortune on a stunning Gucci Indy gunmetal python...and I want it to stay as gorgeous as it is today...any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Tilapia leather? Are you serious? What a holy grail! Yummy, sustainable fish and a great skin. I hope it catches on. I would absolutely seek that out as an alternative. :tup:

what do you do when you get a stain on your alligator? I have a marking on one of my bags. I don't know what it could be. It looks like its a more tanned version of the original color when first purchased. Is this normal for alligator skin? will it tan with age?

I have a stingray evening bag I use for special occasions. I have gotten many compliments on it. I noticed last year Saks was carrying some as well. It was a gift given to me.

can anyone add to this related to anaconda? i found a falchi doctor's bag in anaconda that i really love and its 80% off! is it scaly? how do you think it rates among exotics, in terms of exclusivity, appeal, durability, etc?

also, fyi, jalda does some work with stingray...i love their bags, but i just didnt care fo the stringray clutch she had. http://www.jaldastyle.com/sale/
