Not even for the chain inside the bag so it probably wasn't checked after a return. The bag weighs 22 oz with the chain and 16 without so it's fairly heavy. It is very nice but I'm not sure that I like the color of the handle as it's a light tan. The chain has a "tail" above the clips. Check this out carefully on the website before you order to make sure it doesn't bother you.
That's a shame it wasn't wrapped well. Did you decide if you're going to keep it? I'm still on the fence between the chalk vs. black, the dinky vs. saddle.
I sent it back. It was really a lovely bag but I realized it was too small for me to get much use out of it. The black is pretty but the strap is tan if this matters to you.
I carefully wrapped the chain and the bag in tissue before I sent it back.
Aww. Well, at least you realized it wasn't for you and were able to send it back. It's too expensive of a bag of it won't work for you. As I said somewhere, it wouldn't be a daily bag for me because of its size. It would be more of a going out or special occasion bag, which means I'm not getting as much bang for my buck. It would be a splurge for sure. But a beautiful splurge.
