willstarve: how much was the GM going for in TO? I think it's $1170 in the states and I'm trying to figure out where it would be cheaper...tia!:okay:

Hi there,
I checked the Tate GM price and with tax it was about $1200 Canadian. It's definitely cheaper in Canada given the U.S. exchange rate right now.

By the way, I love mine. Just got it last and I can't say enough about it!!

Thank you so much for those comparision pics. I'm totally coveting the Trevi, but know there is a big price point difference between the Tate GM and the Trevi PM (the one I'm interested in). I see you have both, so I"m hoping maybe you could answer a few questions??

Do you like one better than the other?
Does the Trevi feel incredibly heavy compared to the Tate?
Is one bag easier to get in and out of?
Does one bag hold more than the other?
Does the Tate sit easily on it's own like the the Trevi or does it fall?

Do you like one better than the other? I love Trevi more, but tend to use Tate more often becoz it's a casual bag & not so dressy.
Does the Trevi feel incredibly heavy compared to the Tate? Oh yes Trevi is much heavier than Tate.
Is one bag easier to get in and out of? Tate is easier
Does one bag hold more than the other? Trevi holds more.
Does the Tate sit easily on it's own like the the Trevi or does it fall? Depends, If you put more things in Tate, it could sit on its own.

I appreciate your honest answers. There are no LV stores in my state, so I have to glean all my info from tPF and helpful posters like you. :idea:

I personally still prefer the look of Trevi, but just can't bring myself to order it sight unseen. We have a trip to CA planned for the end of the month and I'm hoping I could just sneak into a LV boutique to see them in person.

How comfortable is this bag? I tried it on the other day at a local Sak's and thought the handle felt stiff. Will it soften up??? I'm so on the fence about buying it! I really love the style!!

i just got mine the other day. I'll post pics soon. still undecided if i should keep her. i like the style of the bag and the lightness of it. however, the waves that the bag creates when i zip it up really bugs me. do you guys also have this problem? does it bother you at all?
