I called my store to inquire about the Swagger 21 this morning. I assumed they wouldn't have any, as I was just in the other day and the SA didn't seem to know anything about the bag. They showed me the pistachio croc, a pink (dahlia?) croc w/ gold hardware and the canary I was hoping to see. The only azure they had was the colorblock, but that was way too busy for me. They didn't have any of these bags out on the floor yet so I was the first in the area to see them! I ended up leaving with the canary. I LOVE the size! It's what the original Swagger 20 should have been. Something about the taller silhouette looks a little more elegant as well.

Now I'm torn because I have two yellow bags. Do I need two yellow bags? Flax and canary are pretty similar, but flax has more of a gray undertone plus the darker leather edges and darker hardware. Canary has matching light edging and silver hardware. I thought once I compared the two side by side, I'd surely let go of flax, but we all know how that goes...

Here are a few comparison shots to show size differences and a few showing color differences. I apologize for the bad lighting. It's raining today and I can't capture the true colors. The Swagger 21 is slightly taller than the 20, but the same width. The handles are also taller, which means they're actually usable if you want to carry the bag on your arm or wrist. The inside also features the same front slip pocket, BUT the back pocket is zippered. That's one thing I always thought the 20 should have had! The leather on the two also seems different. My flax, chalk and black Swaggers have shinier leather and the new canary Swagger has more of a matte feel to it. Not really sure why that may be.

I love the yellow of both, I I like that the 21 is a little taller and has longer handles. But I do like the contrast of the hardware and the edge paint on the 20. Decisions, decisions! How much can you fit in the 21?

I can fit a wallet in the 21 whereas I normally only carry a card case in the 20. I have an MK multifunction wallet that would normally take up all of the 20, but with the added height, I can fit it in the 21 and still have room for my usual extras (keys, phone, Coach key pouch where I keep gift cards & coupons, plus few other small things in the pockets).

I think I can justify keeping both simply because of the different dimensions and the edge paint. I liked flax because of all the contrast and the canary because it lacked contrast. I just know that with two yellow bags, I'll always be reaching for one over the other. I'm definitely keeping the 21. I guess my decision is whether or not to sell the 20. It's just tough because I haven't even had that bag for a month! Maybe I'll sit on it for a month or so and see how I feel about both of them.

Congrats! I can totally understand being torn. The dark hardware on the yellow looks great - but so does the silver :graucho: The 21 is a great running around size. If they put a slip pocket on the back I'd buy every color!

I ended up getting the Beechwood Colorblock one. My friend bought it at a different Macys and they offered her F&F on top of it - pre-sale though. So, I took mine in for a PA but at my store they said she should not have received that discount as it was a deal of the day. Well, the price had changed the day I took it in and gave mine back and did pre-sale and saved $60. Not as good as my friend...but $60 is $60!

Is that the one with the darker brown handles? Sounds like you got a great deal! Love those Macy's sales. Please post pics!
