So do I! What is going on with the Dakota straps? I've actually been wanting one of those bags!
A few people are posting in the clubhouse that their Dakotas' straps are cracking where the strap meets the bag. One lady had it happen twice. Scary stuff; it has made me reconsider getting a Dakota.
So do I! I would've gotten one of the new ones with the pop lacing if they had been just a little bigger.
Just because a "few" or less people have posted that their Dakota straps are cracking does NOT mean that this is a problem on all Dakotas. I have a small black Dakota that I use quite frequently, and the strap is absolutely fine. I would not hesitate to recommend the purchase of a Dakota to anyone. It's a fabulous bag.

Holy crap! I hope that's not a common occurrence...hope they'll get it right this time! Now I'm concerned for mine; will wear that bag as soon as I get it, and see if the strap is weak. Yikes!
I don't think it's a common occurrence. I'm the only one I've seen this happen to. I just wanted to put the word out so people could keep an eye on the screws that hold the hardware to the long strap together. I sure wouldn't hesitate to get another Swagger [emoji2][emoji12][emoji7]

I did some swagger damage. I'm in love with this bag. The periwinkle is gorgeous (glad I grabbed it while it was still available!) and ditto to the silver/pink accordion wallet. They are both such great colors, I am disappointed by the short and limited run.
The chalk I had no intention of getting, but once I saw it in real life, I fell hard. LOVING the color and the gold hardware.

I've never owned a white bag. On purpose. But this I could not walk away from. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. I scrolled past them easily. Once I saw it in the store there was no going back!
