My bleu cosmetique arrived in perfect condition after a bit of a scare- there was some white spots/schmootz on the front and I was "uh-oh- places where the canvas is peeling" but I took a very slightly damp soft cloth and wiped ever so carefully- it was some white sticky that came off. Whew! I was ready to send it back. But it is fine and I love it so a keeper.
BTW, I was getting ready to return it and called CS- there was no ribbon or card with the item. Just the SLG banging around in the magnetic box (not happy about that- how about some air pillows to stabilize during shipment?!). I asked what the story was with no ribbon and card?- I was told you have to ask for gift packaging. HUH? I always got these little amenities with every purchase. This is pretty lame considering what we pay for these items.
So that is my rant for the day- thank you for letting me say my peace!
so many times in the last couple years I have received items just banging around like that. it is hit or miss. guess it depends who / where it is coming from. and yes I always select the gift option to ensure I get the little gift card and ribbon. it is totally bogus though. I recently got a piece from Dior and the way it was packed blew the DOORS off of any LV packing. to be honest the entire purchase and experience as a whole really put LV to shame. we love them of course, we can't help it but compared to other brands they're just seeming to do what is standard and necessary instead of trying to go above and beyond. won't stop me from buying but I had to reply here bc as first time Dior buyer I was so stunned in a good way.
