Styling Hermes plates and homeware inspiration

Does anyone own the H deco presentation plates? I’m trying to make practical selections with thanksgiving coming up. I have little ones so no H dinner plates this year maybe in a few years once they’re more table trained, haha.

And is it a total faux pas to use a presentation plate to present food on, as in sides, etc…? I see they’re mainly used as chargers. Asking for an Hermes entertaining pro

I have on order the H Deco presentation plates to complete my set. My sa told me I didn't need them and yes H shows them used as chargers. Doesn't show much of it with the dinner plate on top of it. I would use these plates in ways more than as a charger. However these plates are very flat so I'd place food that's dry like rolls or dessert bites on top of it. Anything that has sauce or juice from meat I wouldn't for it could run off. JMHO Hope this helps!

Do you use clear acrylic plate stands? I think that’s why I see in your pic

Hi. Yes acrylic stand and it holds 4 or 5. Allows to display easily and can layer (Amazon prime)

Here's another idea ... I LOVE this post from @tadhana using a plastic dome over H Deco. I purchased this dome and fits perfectly. Looks like it's still available on Amazon.

I’ve JUST recently started dipping my toes hehe. Bought the Passifolia soy dish for myself and the Carnets d'Equateur for a friend. I think the Carnets d'Equateur collection and the H deco collection match my “style” the best. However I love Passifolia but some pieces are way too bright for my muted decor. But honestly love them all but some just simply do not match my kitchen/home decor.

Same! Didn’t know this was a rabbit hole lol at first I thought I only wanted the coffee cup (I really collect mugs especially from museum visits) then..

Then i got saucers then dessert plates and the next thing I know im planning the Christmas table around this eg how many plates and chargers to get, should i get the serving trays, last day for ordering etc 🤣

My toxic trait though is defying every label that says “handwash only”.. What’s your advice on putting them in the dishwasher?

Interested in the yellow/soleil plates too

Lol, it’s definitely addicting! H tableware is so beautiful!! I love the soleil plates! So beautiful. I personally only hand wash my china so no advice on that. I’m not rebellious enough

I have no advice just wanted to say I too enjoy defying the hand wash only label lol

What will happen if it’s not on those settings? Is it the heat that causes problems? Is it the porcelain or the metals that’s the concern? Tia

I think it’s the metals; porcelain is a high fired clay, significantly higher than a dishwasher.

That makes sense. I can’t seem to wrap my mind how the metal can’t survive the heat of a dishwasher having such high melting points.does the low heat cause it to turn dull?
