I am only asking b/c I'm not familiar with LV or Gucci. So, grant me some grace! Coach.com's description states XL Ergo is Vachetta. Can you get a brand new all leather LV or Gucci in this size 17 1/2 (L) x 15 (H) x 6 (W) for $1000? Not sig's for sig's but leather for leather? It might make me say hmmmmm?
Good question. I personally don't know. I may be weird but I'd take the XL Ergo for $1000 over LV or Gucci. Just me! But if I did have $1,000 to spend on bags I still would go for a couple of Coach bags and some accessories rather than just one bag. I think I'd feel less guilty, like I got more for my money? I think I'd worry myself sick carrying a $1,000 bag anyway!

I feel that the price point on this bag should be closer to $700 and that's still pushing it, but it is all vachetta with the striped lining. This type of leather gets better as it ages but I think I'd have a hard time spending $1000 on a Coach-I'd be more inclined to buy a classic monogram Louis Vuitton that will retain it's value. JMHO

See, that's the bag that I fell in love with. It SUCKS that it's that expensive. I agree with the others that it should be around $700 instead. There just aren't enough details to warrant it being that much. I still really want it though. *L* Wah. I think the leather looks gorgeous.
if the circumstances allowed, i'd definately buy it.
it's a HUGE tote, it's a gorgous shape, and for what its' probably made for it'd be perfect. i can see myself bringing it to work... definately...
as for the price, it's a PAINFUL price, but i'd take that bag over an LV or Gucci anyday. if i was looking for a bag with that pricetag on it, i'd go for Tod's. i love their stuff.
