Straw or natural bag trend

This is my other straw bag; I can’t wait to use it for my summer vacay in Thailand.
Have been lusting over this for a while....an expensive basket but relatively affordable compared to some other designer brands.
I’m reviving this thread, as it’s getting to be that time of year and I just pulled the trigger on this beautiful Dolce & Gabbana raffia bag. I wear natural, non-leather bags a ton in the summer, and after having run my trusty Helen Kaminski into the ground, I conducted quite the search and ultimately decided on this beauty. I think the color and weave are gorgeous, and I have a pair of cork sandals that it will go with perfectly [emoji4]. There is something so light and carefree about natural bags—I’m surprised they aren’t more popular.

The Marmont flap (1) is listed as raffia, the Marmont with the 'flowers' (6) is viscose raffia, the (python trimmed) Ophidia (2)and Marmont tote (5) are both listed as raffia-effect material and obviously some natural canvas too from the Rajah (tiger) (3). The Sylvia (chain detail) (4) is wicker.
I have a Gucci black canvas bag (that was my mother's) and a basket made from patent leather (with suede pouch) and a bamboo handle for Summer. I also have light/white/bright leather bags for Summer. I have a huge Trussardi natural canvas and (real) crocodile tote too. Perhaps if I didn't already have so many nice Summer bags I'd be visiting the Rajah. I think if I was going for a large straw/raffia/natural canvas I'd buy something non-designer and go large so I could take it to the beach (suntan lotion, food, water etc) and so not have to worry. I have no idea how you clean these bags, my Trussardi went to the dry cleaners and it was a tragic experience.

I like her, she's a great ambassador for the brand but I don't think this bag does much for her. This particular bag is only going to work in bleaching-bright sunshine and a heatwave and an outfit to match.

he he) The only thing with that one is that the LOEWE logo is so LARGE (hate that). We all know the symbol for Loewe, it stands alone to represent great Spanish leather. And the Loewe basket, that is the reason I have not got one. I looked at it last time at a Loewe shop in Spain, by the beach, and it felt so perfect, but that LOEWE in big letters, so redundant too. But then, that is the problem with most bags nowadays, you cannot escape those big logos everywhere.
I love your bag! I’m considering getting one for holidays myself. Can I ask how it held up and what size your got? As you say it’s quite expensive for a straw bag but it is a good brand and looks simple but stylish and well made.
I see some people don’t like the large logo branding. I don’t mind it myself. I wouldn’t want it on a smaller evening bag but I think I’d use this for days out on holiday or in the summer in general. Perhaps even as a really nice beach bag. I’m considering getting the large one for this reason.
