Straw bags: hot or not?

Wanted one but wasn't going to pay a lot for one, because I know it will not hold up.

Then I got one, picked it up at Bed, Bath and Bodywork, so you know it's cheap! But the thing is so stiff and huge and doesn't move.

It's great for the beach, but I don't go that much there! Even though I live in Miami...I just don't go.

Goes under nice to look at but not for me.

I like them especially a few from Brighton years back. Their tote had a harder straw that was still flexible. Takes some searching but you can find a cute one with nice leather and detail.

I have one. A simple bucket style I bought in Maui because it went with my sandals so well.
It's macramed or crocheted fiber. It's very soft and floppy, has a matching polyester lining with an interior pocket. It doesn't snag or catch on anything, nor does it look tacky.
They don't have to be straw, per se, but I think natural woven fibers are a refreshing look for summer bags. I even like the rigid ones.

I have this Coach straw basket and I think it's so cute.
