Straps hurting shoulder?

I have this problem with a lot of bags and usually it is because I try to lug around half of my body weight. That being said, I look closely at straps now. There is an LV I have wanted for awhile, but I know it will dig into my shoulder. Perhaps I am getting old. I also consider how much certain styles of shoes will hurt. There is NOTHING worse than being out somewhere and being in pain from shoes or a bag.

I font have this problem with Phoebe. Isabelle worn crossbody is the only one that gives me pain.
Me too! I thought I was the only one. Wearing the Isabelle as a crossbody hurts for me...while wearing the short straps on my shoulder..it keeps slipping off. Haven't found the perfect shoulder bag/hobo yet..but the straps on the Rory when doubled is really comfortable. Maybe I need to look into the legacy lines as their straps are thicker.

Just recently bought my mom a small Isabelle and I hope she doesn't find the straps digging in and hurting.

I love the look of the turnlock tote, but when I tried it on the straps were VERY uncomfortable. As well as the thinness of them, I think they are spaced too close together, if you know what I mean.

Rory is such a big bag but she is comfy to wear. Tried to use Rory as a work horse but when stuffed she's way too heavy and it can get painful. The duffles are also comfy on the shoulder.

I don't have fibromyalgia but I do have neck and shoulder problems. I've been going to a chiropractor for over a year to help the problem. It doesn't fix it but it makes the pain go away. But I've noticed since this happened, there are a lot of bags that just don't work for me any more. Phoebe was one of them. I LOVED Phoebe when the bag first came out. So much that I bought multiples because I just loved everything about the bag. Until I started carrying it for long periods of time. Then the pain started after just carrying it from the car into a store. That's when I had to re-home all of them. I still love the look of the bag but I just know that it won't work for me. What's strange is that all the bags I already own, I don't have a problem with. But I've had a really hard time buying new ones. I guess the straps are just thicker on my current ones. My Zoes are a lot heavier than Phoebe but the straps just kill it for me.
I’ve totally been there — some of my favorite bags end up giving me serious shoulder pain after just a few hours. What surprisingly helped was visiting a chiropractor near me. They worked on my posture and alignment, and now I can actually carry my bags without aching all day.
