I like his jewelry, but I think it's incredibly overpriced for the materials he uses. Also, I always end up seeing his pieces on sale at the end of the season.

That's good to know, IntlSet. I'll wait awhile and see if I can get something on sale.:amuse: I don't want to pay these prices if the quality of his line is more like "fun" jewelry as opposed to high-quality pieces.

Kat ~~ I love Stephen Dweck jewelry. It is, to me, so much more interesting than the David Yurman pieces that everyone seems to have. And I think David Yurman is overpriced as well. But most designer jewelry that comes with a name is "overpriced". I have a favorite bracelet that I will have to take a picture of--it is very heavy and well made, in my opinion.

Kat ~~ Here is my Stephen Dweck bracelet. The cameo is carved out of conch shell. The other stones that I know are Rose Quartz, carved Crystal Quartz, and Shell Mabe Pear.

I have bought several pieces of stephen dweck's over the past three or four years. He is of cuban-jewish background and quite talented. His bronze collection was to die for, once in a while the neiman's last call will have a couple of his last season's pieces as great prices.

Dweck makes great jewelry. However, I have noticed that in the last year or so, his pieces have a more "mass-produced" effect. But he still makes very beautiful things--just a little less detail than what my older pieces have. His stuff is always worth checking out!

I think that's what is making me stray from David Yurman jewelry ... mass production. You see the same pieces all over the place. I like jewelry to be unique. That's what makes it interesting IMO. I hope I'm able to find a few Dweck pieces that have not been mass produced.:hrmm:

Kat ~~ When looking at Stephen Dweck jewelry, turn it over and look for the beetle. He carves or stamps a scarab-or-beetle on his one of a kind pieces. My bracelet has this on the back of each charm--the back is almost as pretty as the front!

I heard about the beetle. I didn't know it was only on the one-of-a-kind pieces though. That's good to know. Thanks for the info.:p
