My PM mono arrived and the date code says it’s made in week 7 of 2020. Which is this week..
And it was sent off Monday.
I’m pretty sure it’s not THAT fresh out the oven
But either way!

Congrats . Can you post pic? Do you notice is the canvas a bit thicker??

I honestly don’t know.
The last Pochette Metis I bought (but never used.. this is my third and I’ll probably won’t use it neither....... call me crazy and/or stupid) was 2017 aka M40780 and I barely remember the feel of the bag (sold both almost right after I bought them).
But yes. I thiiiink this one is definitely a bit stiffer. Not thicker. Maybe a teeeeny tiny bit?!
I dunno....
The only other mono bag I own is a Boite Chapeau Souple (bought May 2019) but I think they’re already the same upgraded canvas, aren’t they? At least the BCS doesn’t feel/look softer or shinier.
Sorry for being such a bad source of reference

thanks for sharing the pic. I had one from last summer and the canvas is softer and the bag is flatter. Yours looks more structure and the canvas also look more shinier

Aargh there is just something about this bag! My monogram PM is also very stiff and from 48th week of 2019. I watched a ton of videos- also old ones from 3-4 years ago... and bags from earlier batches seem to be more floppy or smooshy or whatever you want to call it.

i am curious how the reverse will feel... so excited! I hope I wont find flaws or something I dont like about it ....

Btw - the restock is not as high as expected today ...

I mentioned in my previous post, that it’s my THIRD PM mono. Sold off both before.
But I think “three times a charm” and I learned my lesson: just keep the dang PM mono!!! Even if it’s just gonna sit there pretty.
Just. Keep. It.


I had to drive back and forth today from driving my dad to the hospital, just in hopes to catch the UPS guy and he dead on came at the exact same time as he did yesterday (missed him yesterday).
Mad respect to that guy!!!

i find that the batches made in italy has a stiffer canvas than made in france. Mine was made in france and yes it was soft and floppy

Yes.
You're right about the more structure thing.

But I think it looks way more matte than the older canvas.
Maybe this photo I uploaded is a bit tricky due to lighting and such.

Use the mono! Its too beautiful (and practical) to sit on a shelf! I saw two Vuittons today (multi p and graceful) and as always “high fived“ the people in my mind dont know what I would do if I actually saw someone also carrying a Metis hug him or her maybe?!?

Didn’t see much today either
Checked on the cles, Pochette Accessoires and of course the nano speedy.
No luck so far.

Oh and thank your for the well wishes for my dad.
He’s just a typical man. As soon as they THINK they caught something: near death! He’s totally fine! Doctor confirmed! He just wanted to be babied and driven around.
