I was thinking that I could always wear the all white Rolex with a yellow gold diamond tennis bracelet in the future if I really want the 2 tone look or more yellow gold.

I do like the 2 tone look but I think the 2 tone rolex may be more busy while the all white is more sleek looking.

I am definitly leaning torwards the all white with MOP face. Thanks for everyone's help!! I will post pics once I get it!!

I prefer the two tone only because it's nice to have a little yellow gold in there... it's more classic and will withstand the test of time. I do prefer the MOP face to the white.. can you get two tone with diamonds and MOP?

ETA: I see you already made your decision.. I am sure you will be very happy with your new Rolex.. I love mine!

I did look at the 2 tone with MOP dial but I didnt care for it as much, I thought the yellow gold reflects onto the MOP and casts a more golden brownish color on the mother of pearl that the white doesnt. Its also much more expensive then the MOP alone...What style Rolex do you have?

Hi Chanel-girl... I have to laugh, because I have been answering all these Rolex threads and just noticed they are all you!! hehe!!

I posted the one I own.. it's the Lady Datejust, champagne dial with roman numerals, fluted bezel, SS/18K YG Jubilee bracelet!
I have owned it for 10+years and love it. I just recently bought a Tag with pale blue MOP and diamond markers.
So I get my diamond and MOP fix in two watches. My Tag is all SS.. no yellow and I love it.
I know what you mean about the gold casting a brown glow... the picture of the white with MOP is GORGEOUS!!
I would stick with that choice.

Oooh.. jsut saw the new pics.. both watches are TD4!! Are you saying the "plain" white face with diamonds is $1750 less than the one with MOP???
That's a tough decision..

As a bystander who is also looking for the perfect watch (with in a budget)...I find it sooo interesting to hear all the points of views. There is something to be said for `passing the test of time` and also getting what you really love. Sometimes its hard to choose because if you are like me, you know you will change your mind down the track!!!!

I also like how there are no wrong answers here because all the watches have their own beauty and its just a matter of personal taste, not ugly v. beautiful.

I personally like how the two tone looks like a traditional Rolex, it definately looks rich and is versatile, but for me it reminds me of all my old watches where I was afraid to not have the right color. Now in my older age I want to be confident enough to make a choice!!! (Dont worry, my mind plays head games with me because I grew up very poor and always had to be practical). Thats not to say that the two tone doesnt look great in its own right, my dh has one and certainly doent need to match other jewellery!

For me it is the white gold or ss all the way!!! Infact, this watch is back on my list as per this conversation!!!!!

The plain white face or any other dial color is $1750 less in the all white face in all white compared to the MOP dial. The 2 tone adds around $1200 from teh all white since its just more 18k gold...

Two tone is more bling.
An all white is more quiet and understated. So it depends on your personality.
I have a friend who wears a platinum-ss yatchmaster, to match her husband's, and it is so toned down no body knows she wears a Rolex, which is the way she likes it
I have another friend who bought a vintage yellow gold Day date with diamonds which is really bling bling and it reflects her cheery and radiant personality.
So it depends on what is your personal style.

Hmm thats intersting..I never thought of the 2 tone as nessesarily more bling just a little more traditional Rolex and slightly more busy then the all white style. I think that an all white Rolex gets noticed as a Rolex as well, its just slightly less traditional Rolex compared to the 2 tone with the thick yellow gold bands and bezel.

Congrat.'s!!!!! I am dying to see it- please post pictures!!!! May I be so bold as to ask if you were able to get any kind of a discount. Can't wait to see your new Rolex- I've been checking all night!!!!! Good for you!!!! What pushed you over the edge to the all white and MOP?!
