Happy Spring to the Squirrel Squadron! It's been awhile. Hope my lovely squirrel sisters are all very well and enjoying better health and balmier weather:flowers:
Possibly some of us have been seized by the seasonal impulse to have a good clear out? Perhaps decided our caches are in need of attention and some springtime
retuning, rejigging, refining? I know I have.
Shed some nuts that though much loved were no longer carried and had become something of museum relics. No partings were bitter, only bittersweet.
Spring 2017 Nut Status Report for Mulberry Mermaid's Cache: the Pursery is less like King's Cross at rush hour.
Anyone else?
A big HELLO & hug my dear & to all of my sweetest Mulberry lovers. I haven't popped in to Mulberry threads for way too long myself & just wanted to say hi! @Ludmilla fun thread is the first one I'm posting. You know I am dying LOL at your undeniably amazing verbiage dearest MulberryMermaid...."retuning,rejigging:lol::lol:&refining"....i think rejigging will my new word:hugs: Hope life is wonderful for all of you sweet lovelies! All my best :drinks:

Sending love and hugs to my furry friends and hoping you are all well!
I've come to the sad conclusion that I'm struggling with shoulder bags, and don't do well with Bayswaters, much as I love them ... Hence I'm going to be slicing my collection sizeably in the coming weeks.
However, I confess that I have discovered the love for a Mulberry style I hadn't seen in real life and have acquired two(!) of them recently ... Oops ...

Dear Mayfly, thank you for the much needed smile this wet spring morning:heart: are you going to share your new nutty gems? How exciting that you've discovered a new style you love enough to add to your springtime cache! Can't wait to see/hear what has enticed you.
As for shoulder bags, I too have been scrutinising the Pursery with a jaundiced eye for the heavier nuts. Pruned several Darwin bags and other leathers as well, no matter how adored they have been in the past. Several beloved Roxannes, which seem to have the unfortunate skill of looking even more enticing as one cleans, conditions and prepares them for their departure from the Pursery:sad: As I said, bittersweet.
Hope you won't have the same issue in choosing which nuts to loose from your collection as you begin your slicing!;)

Dearest Kendie, have missed seeing your lovely self, sweet girl!:hugs: Thank you for the kind words. I admit to some technical issues with a new phone and photos on the few occasions I've tried to post things. Why is it technology seems to go backwards sometimes in new products? As a former tech sector worker bee I have no answer for that one:cursing: :lol: Hope you are keeping well and enjoying whatever threads you are frequenting and some lovely new and old treasures. I continue to be grateful to dear Ludmilla also for this thread which has such a lovely group of Squirrel Sisters:flowers:
Happy (nearly) Summertime:drinks:

Well done, dear MM; you have made far more progress than I have ... [emoji5] I find it so difficult to let my Bayswaters go, even though I know I don't find them practical; every time I decide they're for the cull, I see someone effortlessly toting one around and my resolve weakens again! [emoji849]
My "new find" is actually a style released by Mulberry in 2013, I think, so I'm just late to the party (as usual!) [emoji5] I'll try to sort a reveal some time tomorrow!
I was at the rugby final in Twickenham today, enjoying some sunshine (albeit a bit cooler than yesterday!) and carried my small oak Antony crossbody; so handy for your phone, purse and keys when you need both hands to hold a programme, flag, burger and cup of tea! [emoji636][emoji488][emoji477]️

Aren't Antonys just the thing? Perfect for your day today, and anytime one needs some hands free convenience. I also use Brooke for such occasions, though her chain can be a bit "surplus," if charming and cheerful as she jingles along. Good for capturing the attention of dogs and young children! I also know just what you mean about the Bays, so hard to part with and infernally so whenever you see one carried with panache. Arghhh. The old dilemma of "what if?" What if I need that Bays for that future perfect job, future outfit, future me that positively cries out for it?:confused1:
I can think of one in particular (and its matching scarf) that I will probably keep forever, unless I have someone to pass it along to in the fullness of time. It wasn't my first, that's long gone now, but still the most remarkable, to me anyway. (I've even managed to let my very first Roxanne out of my Squirrel clutches, with a light heart as I was returning it to its original owner.) Failing that, 'twill be found in the Pursery long after I've departed if I can't get my act together before that...ashamed to admit, I've never worn it. Bad Squirrel, Naughty Squirrel!!:facepalm::lol:
Looking forward to your reveal--and you are not late to the party, dear Mayfly, just right on time as ever. Your taste is impeccable :flowers:

Interested to see what you've found! I don't find Bayswater's a problem, and I've never found them too heavy, maybe it's because generally I don't get on with small bags? I wouldn't choose it for a country walk, but otherwise I take mine everywhere. If you're not wearing them though, I totally understand - and, from experience I'd say the thinking about selling is much, MUCH harder than the doing of it. Once they're gone you don't miss them, because you weren't using them in the first place!! :panic:
Meanwhile  I'm trying to think what came out in 2013???? Tillie?

Ooh - I very nearly bought a Brooke from Shian at Naughtipidgins; it looks a fabulous little bag, dear MM! Which one do you have?
I've decided to keep all my Lexies (photographed today in the Amazing Alexa Club thread) but have a LOT of bags lined up for rehoming! I feel guilty when people say, "I'd love a Mulberry" - and I have unworn, neglected beauties sitting in their dust bags ... [emoji15]

Kensington? Tessie? something involving a parliament of owls in an indoor tree and Cara?
;)

Hmm, I'm hoping that I haven't got the year wrong and led you up the garden path, dear Squirrels! [emoji253][emoji883][emoji253]
I have indeed looked at the Cara several times, but think I'd look a bit odd toting a backpack and I'm trying to avoid shoulder bags ... I'll fish out my new style a bit later on!
A propos the infamous Bayswaters, I'm going to keep Womble and my Scribbly floral (and maybe the oak, as she's my iconic Mulberry!) but the rest need to go ... [emoji30]

My Brooke is black, Basic Black Beauty. Have been tempted by a lovely Vanilla in primo condition I saw recently, but absolutely positively don't need that tasty nut! I imagine Brooke in Oak would also be lovely. She is rather wee, but that's her charm, I agree. Works beautifully when you've not much to carry.
Wow, Mayfly, your Lexies are truly lovely:coolio: Such an enviable collection! Partial to Teddy and especially Fox, though Bengal is also dreamy.
I think it admirable that you have approached your cache with such panache, may I say?
It's huge progress in Cache Management to have determined precisely which nuts work well for one's lifestyle. As well as which do not. Don't feel guilty about the nuts you have not worn, they have been curated and taken care of by someone who appreciated them but could not use them. Well done you and lucky eventual new owners

I just sold my Oak Bays and really edited my collection this year... Lovely to look at but really doesn't work for me! I've fallen in love with the Tory Burch Perry Tote for work instead, which suits me much better, and purchased 2 news ones for less than I sold my bays for.

did keep my Alexas though, as I love casual bags with a long strap :)

Thank you for your support, dear MM; I'm in such a prize pickle that I need to be absolutely ruthless! I do love my Lexies - I had decided that the o/s oak would be one of the first in my cull, as I'd never carried her, but I use her such a lot now that it shows the peril of having too many bags! Argh! Did I really say that?! It's the sort of comment I only expected I'd make in therapy! [emoji5]

Ooh! Well done, Mary (fab to "see" you again, btw!) - the oak Bays was my unicorn from BV and epitomises Mulberry for me! I can still remember the excitement I felt when choosing her for her grain! Despite nearly lengthening my arm by 12 inches, when I toted her around London last year (I was jolly glad to dump her down in the Globe, M&M World, Mulberry Covent Garden etc) I still love her!
