Online photos from H are awful. It makes online shopping hit or miss. I haven’t seen this IRL but there is one for sale on FASHIONPHILE. Maybe their pictures are more accurate.:flowers:

Phashionphile's photos definately show the colours more muted and grey

I still wonder how this came to be termed as "3 shades of grey" (Acier/Gris/Anthracite) ...:hrmm:

Could CW names have become mixed up?
Does there maybe also exist a never shown, truly "3 shades of grey" Mr Ferrier?

I was intrigued by this scarf as well so I ordered it online from H UK. I love the larger formats so thought the cotton/silk mix would work well in summer. There was no other grey option other than Acier/Gris/Anthracite (CW 14).

The material is gorgeous, but the one I received definitely looks more like the online photo - the shades have a greenish hue. I've attached some photos below, taken in daylight, including one next to a grey coat, so you can see what I mean. I wanted a grey-toned scarf, so it's a return for me, despite the lovely fabric.

Thank you so much for ordering, photographing and sharing :flowers:. Now we all know :smartass:.

The silk/cotton mix is my very favourite Hermes scarf fabric. I wish they would use it in more scarves.

Hermes did do a perfect silk/cotton purely grey tone scarf a few years ago (2015), in 100cm format:
"Glitch" by Rybaltchenko, Ref. H102932T. I believe it was CW 01.
On the Hermes website photos, it incorrectly showed up as being partly pale blue! :whut::frown:

Looks very awfully good on you tho!!

@Karenska, my space derby for you. I didn’t have any good light to take a full shot of the scarf but I think this blue one has been shown in full, real life. Here it is w two color shirts. I do love it so. A complete chameleon based on however you tie it. Also, color saturation is really good on back side. Eliminate any of the colors completely or show one off.
Pics: Show just the primary (plus one) colors of red blue green yellow…show more of the rainbow…show a bright shining North Star off…show off some pink/purple w the hem.

That is one fabulous carré. Thank you so kindly for modeling it so nicely. It’s a real beauty. So versatile and that hem is TDF. :faint:!

Beautiful! I was able to get the same colorway too. You wear this scarf beautifully! What is the name of the knot on the last photo? Any instructions available on the web?

Thank you! No knot. I did it by fooling around and osmosis of knots I check out everywhere, YouTube and Instagram haha. I did accordian folds all the way across the scarf. Tied it around my neck once and put a rubber band on those tails. And fluffed. If that made sense. Scarflookbook on insta uses rubber bands a lot since she doesn’t like knots. Allows her more creativity To design scarf looks. I’m sure someone in here knows the name of the knot.

Scarfmail today brought me En Roue Libre Chemise CW17.

Not sure if I wanna keep it.

On the plus side, I love love love the bright pink, blue and yellow together. Those are three of my favorite colors. As a huge fan of contrast hems, the navy hem here also appeals to me.

On the other hand, this is my first Chemise/Wash scarf and I'm shocked by how thin and flimsy the fabric feels. If I hadn't ordered this from h.com I would almost think it was a knock-off. Even the hem is thinner than normal! I was under the impression that wash scarves would be softer and flowy, but this feels almost brittle, like crepe paper. I missed the luxurious feel of proper twill.

And finally, the biggest downside: this thing wrinkles like mad! When I get a new scarf the first thing I do is always take modshots with a bunch of different knots. As I do this quickly, the twill scarves don't get wrinkled after. But after just 3-4 minutes of modshots, this scarf was a wrinkled mess, as you can see from the last picture. I HATE ironing so not sure if it's gonna be worth keeping this one. I do love the colors though  Will decide in the next few days. What do you all think? If anyone has positive experiences to share with Chemise/wash scarves I would appreciate hearing it!

I'm glad someone else feels that way about the chemise/wash scarves. I got one of the 45 carres for XMas in that wash and it just felt like a fake scarf. It's a beautiful pattern, but I don't like touching it, even. I'm thinking I'll just gently iron and then frame it.

I agree with you that your scarf is a very beautiful colorway! I hope you were able to keep it, or get another in the normal silk in those same colors.
