So I went to the store to swap my defective PM reverse for The one handle flap bag. I love it. I will miss my PM but I think I made the right decision not to wait on a like for like replacement. The LV shop was packed out as its a public bank holiday today in UK. So I couldn't really try out a load of bags either. But here's me and my new bag :heart:View attachment 3685106

I feel like I got shot in the heart seeing your picture!! One handle is absolutely stunning. Is the long strap long enough for crossbody? How easily is the flap leather scratched?

I wish they used the empreinte leather - alike for the flap and make a s lock on the front. That would be perfect.

Yes the strap is definitely long enough for crossbody. I'm only 5ft 1 but strap is adjustable I have it on the shortest setting.
As for the lock, I prefer this push in and slide up mechanism than the S lock I had on my PM. It's just so much simpler, not having to align up the pin thing to the hole in order to lock it.

The flap leather is smooth and shiny this was a worry before I bought the bag, thinking it would easily scuff or get hairline scratches. But in reality it's not as delicate as it looks you would have to be very rough with it. When the SA showed me the bag it did have 2 dimples at the back of the flap where the handle had been stored flat against it. I just manipulated that area with my hands. And have the handles up right. And those dimples have completely disappeared. I've seen a couple of YouTube unboxing of this bag who return it because of this. Honestly speaking its not a permanent dent it does come out the leather is malleable to an extent.

Overall I prefer this bag over my previous PM reverse. You do feel the quality and workmanship aspect on this one more, it doesn't feel like it was made in a hurry or it was churned out fast to meet demand. Which was what i kinda felt with my PM. If I was to scrutinise its minor flaws it had many. That I learnt to live with. The style and overall feel when you hold this bag however, is very different it has that artisan/bespoke feel about it, like a lot thought , care and effort was put in to constructing it. Its flawless . This does make you feel you want to baby it a bit. But I'm not going to. What I do miss from my PM is the back zipper pocket.

This bag looks beautiful on you. I was at the boutique yesterday and saw this bag and also a new one they had just put out called the saint michele. It has the black flap and adjustable shoulder strap. I liked them both and just couldn't decide at that moment. Did you see the saint Michele ?

IMG_0852.JPG Does anyone own this bag? It's called the Saint Michel and the flap comes in epic leather in black, red or pink. The strap adjusts and there is a big pocket on the back side of the bag. Wondering what anyone thought of it. I'm thinking of it instead of the pochette metis. Just looking for opinions. THX. I also like the one handle bag, but think this is a bit larger and has that pocket on the back, but it doesn't have the single handle. Trade off.

I wasn't able to see the Saint michel close up. But saw it on another customer trying it out. Plus my dd had taken lots of pictures of it to show me a week back when she was at the store, the SA thought I may like it. It's gorgeous in noir. The epi leather contrast gives it a very modern twist. The shape resemble's the one handle bag. I would say the saint michel is very contemporary looking with the hardware and epi leather. The One handle looks more traditional a homeage to vintage design. I like both design. But one handle won out over functionality because I need a top handle as i like to have the choice of been able to wear on the crook of my arm and also the strap is more adjustable it has five hole settings whereas St michel has two I think. The dimensions are similar too. I do think that the saint michel will feel a lot more carefree than the one handle just because one handle does have that dainty delicate feel to it and this would make you want to baby it even though it is very durable and hardwaring. I feel your pain choosing. It's hard.

Thanks so much for all your info. I still really want the reverse pochette metis. That's still my first love. Did I read that you had one and had to exchange it?

Stunning!! Such a great choice. I love this so much more than your reverse pm. Things happen for a reason!! Enjoy your beautiful bag.

I am having the red colour and it's so perfect on me :) Inside compartments can really fit lots of things!

Yes I had a reverse pm. It had got chipped glaze on a corner due to the strap hook hitting it when wearing crossbody and a stitch hole had teared due to uneven tension of the stitches that's what the quality inspector said on post mortem of my bag. The tear formed on a stitch that is a vital function for the bag as this is where all the weight is held if using top handle plus when opening and closing the flap. Hence it was unrepairable. That said I did enjoy using her for the 60days I had her. It's very casual and care free. But I wouldn't say it fits a ton either a full wallet would eat up a compartment. You could bulk it with accordian style sides, but this makes the bag look bulky and not very flattering crossbody. The multiple ways of wearing it is a bonus. I didn't like closing the S lock it can be pain faffing around closing it if your in a rush. The back zipper was so very useful for putting rail card and phone where you would need quick access. Overall Im not sure I would recommend this bag because of all the issues. There are definate design flaws. If they redesigned those areas I would highly recommend.

I'm a big believer in this too. That PM gave me so much grief. It just wasnt meant to be. It sounds silly but going through this grief i feel now was worth it. If it meant me getting this one handle bag because I just love it, more than I did with pm which I didn't think was at all possible
