I think the camera bag style works when they're made to be roomier, like the popular Gucci soho disco bags. Also, their leather version has stretch to it.

Agreed. This needs to be a bit bigger and in the empreinte leather.
This bag is probably a substitute for pochette accessoires in vernis. It looks like LV is discontinuing their most inexpensive bags and replacing them with upgraded versions and hence higher prices.Canada CS told me this crossbody bag will be launched tomorrow April 28!

I tried the Saint Michel on today and I LOVE it!! I'm 5'1" and 100 pounds and this bag was made for me!!! It's light weight and I can fit everything into it that I would use in my PM. The strap is short, and the long strap setting was perfect for crossbody on me!!! I'm not a red fan so my SA is going to order it in black and pink for me to look at next week. I will definitely be purchasing one!! And I feel the $1700 price point is great for having the epi flap.
