I agree that Epi leather is softer then I thought it would be too. Maybe that's why it's only in 25 and not available in the 30. Oh well.

True... it could just be that I see a ton of canvas where I live so it's starting to not be as appealing to me anymore. I love black accents with anything.. I'm not a typical monogram fan, but I saw the Flavin in store (with black trim) and it was sharp.

The black is gorgeous -- I would have considered that one, but I already have a black Empreinte Speedy and for me, two black Speedies would be redundant. The bag I saw felt pretty "tough," but I didn't even put my things in to check for sag because I knew right away it was a no for me. I know nothing about Epi so I don't know if cracking is an issue. Would love to hear from others if they have more experience with this. Even though I passed on this one, I might consider it again if they come out with more colors.

Just to pipe in with the bonded leather convo, I see it being used for bags with two pieces of full leather bonded together for a lining (rather than full stitched finishes) often these days. Perhaps it's a poor translation for an existing industry standard English term? At least I hope that that's the case.

This is what I was thinking too. I didn't really think of "bonded leather" as in fake leather (like that horrible "leather" couch we got from Rooms to Go that lasted maybe 2 years before peeling apart) but as in "the leather is bonded to the inside of the bag instead of a fabric lining"? That's what it looks like anyway.
