Spend threshold for B/K/C

I guess it’s just like VCA then!
Now, can they see how much you spent worldwide or just in the US since I heard that the accounts were now linked?
I asked my SA if he could see my purchases in Paris and he said no. I think they have to log in certain system to pull a worldwide report. But if they just look on the phone, no. Given how old school my SA is, I don't think he'd spend time trying to figure out how to pull the worldwide report.

I accidentally saw it on my SA phone as well. On the top of the screen (iPhone in my case), the left side will have my name, and the right side will have a total number XXX,XXX.XX.
My SA was searching for an item from other store for me so we both looked to see how many were available in the US. After seeing how much I spent, I didn't feel like buying the item anymore
It has happened to me too. Same top of the screen, same feeling. Could never imagine it was that crazy…Although I have always been conscious and spent my own hard earned money, I kept thinking about my husband, my kids and how much we could have done with that fortune.

Hi everyone, I had a question related to pre-spend, mostly out of curiosity. I know typically bags do not count towards pre-spend for a QB, but does a SLG like a KTG count? I was incredibly lucky and got a KTG from my SA today, but am wondering if it counts as pre-spend. I also wouldn't be surprised if getting a KTG sets me back from a timing perspective for a QB, but I couldn't resist the purchase when it was offered. Thank you so much in advance for any insights!

It does help, but the most important thing is to establish a good relationship with your SA and show that you're going to be interested in being a long-time client of H. There's no cut and dry rules. Most of all, have fun! It's just shopping. If you search through the forums and read the threads, you'll get the idea. You're off to a great start, that's a great SLG/fun bag.

I have simply been told that Paris doesn’t matter. I think if they want to disregard, it’s possible.

Total number of all stores in the US? Or only your home store?

Just thought it would be interesting to share… my SA never directly speaks about spend numbers but we were talking about an influencer that I know she works with and I said “she probably wants a skin bag next since she has everything” and her response was “no way, do you know how much you have to spend for a crocodile? 100k!! ”
It’s a good thing I don’t like crocodile hahahahaha

Well, there goes the theory that influencers get their bags with less spend. This is just conjecture based on my experience, but I believe for longer term non leather focused clients, prespend to get a bag offer is not calculated anymore.

What other variables do you think are important besides a good relationship? Like consistency or something of that nature? (Or does consistency fall into good relationship?)

I agree with @haute okole that it’s not always about prespend. But honestly I’ve stopped trying to figure it out myself! I have been offered bags with very little spend and a lot of spend. I have had SAs bend over backwards to make sure I can get the bag I asked for, and SAs who ghost me. I was offered full croc Birkin very early on with my SA before my purchase history was that amount, but I declined due to the color, and accepted a noir ostrich B25 instead. It was literally my second visit with him. I do think relationship matters a lot. The SA who I have the best relationship with tries very hard for me. But I also buy a lot from him, so I imagine spend does matter to an extent. I think he knows he can count on me if he’s short in a certain métier for the month or something lol! Potential for future spend is a factor as well, especially if it’s a newer relationship. Honestly who really knows. It’s a black box to me!

I can only speak to my personal friends and my own experiences, but the most fortunate re: getting really special bags, are primarily RTW fans. We do not check in or text our SAs simply to keep in touch, we have no wishlist and we don’t keep track of spend and never have. We buy what we love and will use. I only report my spend when asked here on the forum. We are typically invited to events, do most of our spend at these events and do not expect or ask for a bag. However, our relationship with our home store is decades long with a history of consistent shopping on things other than leather or what other’s may consider Birkin Bait.

I started out with another SA in 2013 who asked me what I wanted and I said a Kelly Long. He never mentioned that I should spend at one store with him, but I had purchased several things in numerous stores around the US when I was traveling. He mentioned that if I had purchased all of my goodies from BH, I would have been offered a QB already. That is when I understood how things worked. He moved to Tom Ford and my current SA was assigned to me. My current SA never mentioned spend again, but he has a way of separating me from my money, according to @Senbei! Hahaha! I believe loyalty to a particular store is very important to them.

I have not paid up to 1:1 on my latest bags. But there have been times that I have been over 4:1 at an event and told not to expect a leather bag because of a supply problem, but I could get any exotic available.
