Speedy Etiquette?

Congrats on your first speedy!!! My SA usually puts the lock and keys on the leaf and I just leave them there. I never use it anyways so they just hang there.

The lock has never left the tab and the keys are always home on all 5 Speedys....I cannot imagine a Speedy without the lock hanging off the end. Crook in arm or I attach the strap and wear on shoulder if carrying lot's of stuff.

Which shoulder strap did you buy? And how do you attach it?

Oh, I forgot to answer the question I leave the lock hanging on the tab, though I may take it off soon since the weather here is making the lock tarnish really fast

I carry it by hand, or on the arm... and maybe I'll try it on my shoulder like some of the gals said here, though I think it'll drive me crazy because the handles will keep falling down...

Love the black epi!! If I have a speedy, I'll keep the lock on. It's so much cuter that way.

I never use the lock that came with my Speedys at all - IMO, it just stretches the tab and makes a mark.

Same with me. I take it off and stick a kitty swarovski charm in its place instead. Much lighter and doesn't stretch out the tab at all.

i leave my lock on the tab. i have one key in my jewelry box and one key on my key ring, but i agree that the lock is more a "purse accessory" than a functional thing. i've never locked my speedy.

i usually carry it in the crook of my arm...but i gave myself bruises doing that one day while shopping because it was too heavy. no joke. i bruise *really* easily, but still...heavy shopping bags + heavy speedy = bad scene...i looked beat up. so even though it fits the kitchen sink, be careful how full you fill it.
