Speedy bandouliere 25 or 30? Plus Size Gal Crossbody

I am 5’5” and a size 14. I have the Speedy B25 and love it, but only as a shoulder or hand carry bag. I don’t love the look of a Speedy crossbody.
I was considering adding a Mon Mono Speedy B30 to my collection when COVID-19 struck. Now I’m wondering what possessed me to buy half the bags I have, much less adding more. When things get back closer to normal, I’m sure my rational brain will shut off again and I’ll be tempted anew.
If you haven’t already tried the bags on (specifically crossbody) then I would before buying. I thought the B30 looked like a gym bag on me crossbody, but I like it just fine as a shoulder bag (middle strap removed). The 25 holds all my daily essentials; if I get the 30 it will be for travel (like my NF GM) or days I want to carry more than usual.

You definetely should try both sizes in the store. I think both sizes should be find with your frame, though.
I am 5"2' and use mostly a 30. Good size which fits enough stuff. I also have a 25, but find it to small for my daily needs. Back when I choose my first Speedy I was torn between 25, 30 and 35. And I felt 30 looked best on me and fits my stuff.
I would try both on and then you will feel which one you like better on you and you will also see which size fits your needs.
Edit: Did not see that you cannot go to a store. If I am not sure about sizes, I browsed all the available action photos here on TPF - fortunately there are some on the Speedys and secondly I try to find similar sizes bags at home (so in your case e.g. bag with 25 cm and 30 cm length) and try to imagine them in the style I am thinking about.

I know you can't get to the store to try which makes it hard...but I am just shy of 5'10, size 14 also, and I got the 30 and love it. I tried the 25 and I just feel like with my stature, the smaller bags look unbalanced (unless it's on purpose like a clutch/WOC). Hope this helps!

The 25 was, and is, perfect for my use and aesthetic. I don't carry a lot and I use a Samorga organizer because I realized quickly that the 'black hole' interior was not good for me. I have small hands, but it makes a huge difference with everything in its place as I can quickly reach in and grab what I need. So that was the criteria for me. Good luck!

I had the 30 and sold it for the 25 as I wanted to use it crossbody. I also don’t carry much in my bag. Love the 25
I’ve had both and finally kept the 25b. I wear my bags crossbody mostly and it looks better that way than the 30. I’m a size 16/18 and 5’4”. The 30 opening is better and you can shove a ton in it but it felt too big unless I was carrying it just top handle. The 25 does look smaller on my frame but it fits the items I carry perfectly. If you don’t fill the 30 enough then one of the ends kind of bends in and it sags a lot. If you use an organizer then it felt too boxy for me. I don’t use an organizer in my 25. It’s a personal decision so get what you like. The only opinion that matters is your own. Good luck deciding!

I’m 6’4 and size 16-18 and I had a speedy 25 for a while but I sold it as I found it very small.
Now I have the 30 B and I love it, I can even wear it crossbody and almost below my hip on the longest setting. With the adjustable strap I’m sure yours would work crossbody too.

I'm 5'8 size 10. I had the speedyb 25 for a few years but after using it on a trip I decided to part ways. The opening was just too small. I have a MWT speedyb 30 and feel the size is perfect for travel and everyday. I use a bag organizer to help with the shape and organization. One thing you do need to think about is that both the DE and MWT straps are super stiff. I don't even use my strap. I use the mono bandouliere strap instead. It's so much more comfortable. Again to echo everyone else, you really should try on both sizes to see. You will know which one is the right bag when you see yourself in the mirror!
