Hello!


I hope all is safe and healthy. I am wanting to purchase a Speedy B in the DE print, all my current pieces are monogram. But I am stuck on size. This will be my first speedy. I am 6 feet tall, size 14, not slim. I want a bag that compliments my size when using as a crossbody and shoulder bag.

I have that exact bag in a 25 and I personally don’t love the bag because the strap digs in a place that’s uncomfortable. My best suggestion is to try the bags on and see if you like them. I regret purchasing mine because I used it once.

I have the 25 which I absolutely love for my height and size (I am petite and I also tend to prefer smaller bags in general), but have you tried on both in store? If you’re deciding which bag to get based on how they look on, it’s hard to say without seeing both on you. I’ve heard many say the 30 feels like luggage, but then they are usually shorter than 6’, so the 30 on someone tall may end up being the same look as the 25 on someone 5’3”. I think if you can go once stores open up, try on both in person and see how you feel. It’s highly subjective, but I don’t think you can really go wrong - both are going to look great on.

I have the 30 and I think it’s perfect. I have a hand carry 35 and I don’t think that looks ridiculous either (I’m 5’5” size 10-12). I do think the 25 might be too small for me and I’ve heard the opening on the 25 annoys some people too (just because it is a smaller bag it’s hard to get in/out). That said I don’t think it would look bad to get the 25 either. Since you can’t try it on in person I’d go to the speedy boards here and look for mod pics to get an idea.

I am 5'7 and I have the 30. I used to own the 25 but eventually found it too small for what I carry. Sometimes the 30 is a bit large on me as a crossbody, but as a shoulder bag I find it perfect. Good luck with your decision!

I bought the 25 over the 30 15 years ago, because the SA told me to ... She was like : the 30 is too big, you'll regret it .... I was a student, had only bought a pochette accessoire a few years before and was totally lost ... So I listened to her .... My worst regret ... 10 days later I tried to exchange (wore it once, at home) but the SA didn't let me. didn't push enough .... 2 years later, I went to by the 30. There was a price increase and it was + 150 euros. I didn't buy it and I regret it ... 500 euros in 2005 ... Never purchased the speedy again, tried to make the 25 work for 10 years and finally sold it ...

I never listened to an SA again ...

Try it in store and buy the one you love, despite what the SA says ...

I sold my 25 years ago. 30 is the normal size. Most limited edition speeds are only made in the 30. So go for that.

Also, the opening to he 25 is very small. You can't get in the out of the bag without scratching your hands several times a day.
