Speedy Bandouliere 20

I'm torn - I really love the size of the speedy 20 and I bought a thin mono strap since I do not like the guitar strap... But I rarely use this bag, maybe 1-2x since I got it in October. No issues with the zipper and the 20 fits quite a lot, I just reach for my Nano (tiny perfect for bars/restaurants since it can sit in my lap/on the table if needed) and Speedy 25s more. I love my 25s because of the prints- one is the Garden Speedy and the other is the grey/black denim.

I can't imagine getting rid of the the mono Speedy 20 as I do love the size and the print is classic. However, I do think I would be happier with the 20 in a LE print or leather or at least happier when the leather patinas. If I did ever get another Speedy 20, I would give the mono 20 to my daughter when she is older as it would suit her well since she is quite petite.

Not sure if this helps, I have just been mulling this over a lot since I stress about having bags that I don't use enough.

I would def do the empreinte leather if I got it, it’s just a little higher than I wanted to spend. Thanks for the input about the zipper. I think it came with a regular strap.

so I’m in Maui and I intended to buy the croisette while I was here but I saw the speedy 20 and kind of feel in love. It’s more expensive in the Empreinte Leather and the zipper seems fussy. Those who own it what do you think. I had a speedy 25 like 15 years ago and I sold it because I thought it was impractical but I also didn’t have a strap and I was in college so it wasn’t really practical for me.

I’ve had the mono for a month and wear it non stop. Looks great crossbody or over the shoulder, fits your essential and more. For me it’s a casual carefree day bag, perfect when out with my kids. I might get a VVN strap but for now I’m loving the bandoulière.

Thanks. The more I look at pics the more I want it. Do you use a base shaper or organizer? It seems like a base shaper might be a good idea. When I had the speedy 25 it got really slouchy.

Nothing for me since I actually like the slouch I went back and forth for over a year before DH surprised me. GL with your decision!

If you’re getting it in empereinte leather, it’s more structured than canvas, I don’t think you’d need any shaper or insert for it. It’s beautiful and downright classy especially in black!

Why everyone not liking the guitar strap? I like regular straps but also like the guitar strap. Do I have bad taste? I recently got the speedy 20 with beige strap. Should I change for another purse? Ugh need thick strap enablers pls

No don’t change it. If you love the bag and love how the strap looks and feels who gives a rats a$$ what other people think? You’re the one wearing it. Thicker straps are so much more comfortable and better for my shoulder. I never wear skinny straps. I spend extra for my bandouliere straps. Your money. Do you. I’m in my 50s. You don’t need to be my age to love what you love. Other people’s opinions are just that, other people’s.

I love this strap and although the bag didn’t work out for me initially, I consider getting her because I love her look with this strap in beige color btw I use my black MPA guitar strap a lot, mainly with my Felicie and PA mono, sometimes also with my PM mono and speedy b 25 de

That’s what I needed thank you!!! I just went to the store and didn’t even looked at the forum or anything before selecting this purse so in the end is what I like that works! I/we will give the love this purse needs on this forum!

They had black and beige and I immediately chose beige and then the sales associate said that’s the newer strap. I did saw the MPA both black and mono, it was a hard decision to chose only one.

I have the Original black/beige strap and do like it. I also use a leather adjustable strap sometimes for a change

If you love it enjoy and don't worry about what others think! Variety of taste and opinion is what makes this community fun. I love my black strap and find it pretty, casual and comfy to wear. It is somewhat trendy so I like that I can switch to VVN anytime.

I like the jacquard straps. I did sell the beige one from my Speedy 20, but that’s only because I already have other LV jacquard straps. They’re comfortable, and versatile. If you like it wear it.

Agree with others- don't worry for a second what other people think! There has been so much hate on the forum from some people about the Kusama collection... I just think "great, don't buy it then" or "great, more for us who love her work". I also think, there really is no need to rain on others' parade... But they are entitled to their opinions.

I also commented on how I don't like the thick strap on my Speedy 20, but I tried to frame it with the fact that ordering a thinner monogram strap just worked better for me and I put a picture to help others when they are researching. I also think the thick strap could work great with other bags so I will hold on to it.

Ok so I bought the speedy 20 but I had noticed mine concaved a lot and I didn’t love the look. I looked at the other store in Maui and out of 3 bags they all did this. The SA says that if you keep it stuffed it will go back to being not concaved. Thoughts? I don’t love the look. I know after time it will look like this a little but I feel like the one I got is super pronounced. Maybe because of how it was stored. The one on the floor wasn’t as bad but I don’t really want a floor model.
