I agree with trying it on. I just bought a speedy 25 today:D but I went to the store yesterday to try the sizes. The speedy 30 didn't look big on me 5'2'' but there was so much room I didn't need. I usually carry a wallet, makeup case, cell phone, checkbook and the speedy 25 seem to fit it all with lots of extra room so I went with the 25. Hope this helps you.

I am so glad you posted this thread because I was going to post one just like this!!! I am getting a speedy too and I am trying to decide between 25 and 30. I am 5' 1 1/2" and average weight. Both sizes would look ok on me because I have bags approx. the same size as both, I just can't decide which I like better! I am leaning towards the 25, I was thinking, if I was dressed in a cute summer skirt and sandals that maybe the 25 would look a little "dressier"?? I don't know I am so torn. The 25 is $565 and the 30 is $585 I believe, so not much price difference although you get more bag in the 30 for the small difference.

The celebrities are all carrying 25's.

The people who have 25's, can you fit a good bit of stuff in there?

Kathy, you are a beautiful gal and you model the speedy so well. I originally thought 35 is a bit big and I was considering them for traveling use, but it seems like they're a good size if you just have more stuff. hmm, maybe I will join the speedy club someday soon.

Two thoughts from a recent prior thread on this same subject (I was trying to decide also and many PFers gave me wonderful input):
--Try making a paper model of both sizes. This really helps. The length and width of the 30 is not that big but because the speedy shape is rather thick from top to bottom (many other bags are more tapered), the duffel shape of it just looks bigger.
--The 30 may tend to sag over time if it is not supported internally by a magazine on the bottom or a purseket. This can look cool if you like the look. Overall the 30 seems sportier and edgier than the 25. But it can just look like too much bag. So, if you can't try it on IRL, make a model!! It helps!!!

BTW I went with the 25 (I'm 5'3") but don't have it yet.

I used to be so set on the 25 and was convinced it was the size for me - but I held off and bought other, harder to find LV bags first. During that span of time I began to take more notice of the 30 and I'm SO glad I did. I'm 5'3" and like big but not huge bags. The Speedy 30 holds EVERYTHING but is still lightweight. I put a piece of cardboard in the bottom and there's no sagging.
On an airplane, I can fit a pashmina, book, water, snacks, umbrella, plus all of my other daily junk. When carrying less, it doesn't look understuffed. It's my fave LV!

When I went to buy the speedy for the first time, I tried on both sizes at the boutique and the speedy 25 looked too small on me (I'm 5' 6.5"). The speedy 30 suited my proportions much better. Same with the deauville versus the trouville - the deauville looked better on me.

:laugh: :laugh: Sold my mono 25 and bought an Epi 25. Meant to buy an epi 30, but I loved the myrtile blue and it only comes in a 25, (besides it seems bigger than the aforementioned 25). Am now shopping for a 30-- do I want the mono now or the damier later, decisions decisions. Anyway, brace yourself, you'll end up buying one and soon you'll soon be buying the other. Oh, right, that's me...:D I'm going to love having both.
