Ended up impulse buying this preloved Kelly 35 Lakis HSS in Etain in almost new condition in all swift and am obsessed with the downtown energy it’s giving versus my sellier. I also realized I just so much prefer bigger bags on my frame than small ones and this one feels like the sweet spot, soft and slouchy when underfilled but easily able to tote my 13” iPad Pro and keyboard around for work.
Love this bag!

Thats a really great look! Totally loving the simplicity and elegance of it + the attention to detail! <3

💯 @Lol22177 , I love it too. Adore the velvet slippers :)

DH tried on two sports coats: the first 5100 USD, leather pocket zip detail. He rejected bc he has the same style from last season in cotton. He did get the second jacket , mohair, double lapelled, with two way closure (pants to follow)
In prior seasons DH is a 48R. This season, 50R.

The first jacket is too small 48R; I forgot to take a pic with the right size

Also, a cashmere polo neck button down cardigan. Rejected bc there was a gap when he sat down. Size men’s small fit the shoulder but was too slim in the torso. Pattern similar to ladies pale froi. If he wanted to wear it with a t shirt underneath, he would have gone up to a M.

For the women who read this thread, I tried it on in the Hermes RTW thread, post 6259, https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/hermes-rtw.920133/page-418

@Nikhil7286 , I love your lakis too! Congrats

ETA: mohair jacket tag is from the size 48, but DH bought the 50. The jacket that DH passed on was this:

On a transit in Rome (FCO) back to the US yesterday, I met a lovely SA (who had been with Hermes 20+ years) who, after some nice discussion about bags, offered me this new Bolide Messenger in Caban. It was surprisingly larger than what I had expected from photos though still too small to hold my full sized ipad.

Priced duty free at 4759EUR (~$5,465) a whole lot less than the $7,000 US boutique price even if subject to duty payment upon arrival back to the US.

I politely declined as I have several other HMS messenger style bags (including my Kelly Messenger, HAC A DOS and bolittle) that already serve me well as a small daily messenger but it did show that you can find some gems at airport boutiques - especially if you have a little time to chat up the SA and they have some interest in their job.

This was on my return back to the US through Rome. On my outbound transit several days earlier, i stopped into the boutique and asked a completely indifferent (to anything) SA who just said "no bags" without so much as waiting a second (and said same when i asked about a pair of jet sneakers in my size).

I do love the Caban color - I have a steve light messenger in Cadan and the very dark blue (almost black) is a great color and something a little different than the more common noir.

I’m in love with this bag? It was the perfect work bag today and the swift leather is just so soft. And etain is so lovely, so grey but captures warm hues so nicely with the sun. A little purple undertone at times too.

Have a larger K40 lakis in black canvas and box leather - love it! Great choice and Etain is one of the colors I'd like to add to my collection at some time. Congrats!

I wear a lot of men’s RTW: pants, shirts, sweaters.

Here’s a women’s wool turtleneck sweater than I think men could really wear well. I’m short 5”2’ and the sweater extends to the top/middle of the hip. This sweater also comes in black. Size 36. Sleeves are long for me.

Sizing: I find that a men’s 37 or 38 shirt is oversized on me. This 36 sweater is broader in the dropped shoulder which would work well on a guy). The sweater is worn backwards here, self belt unbuckled (two halves fully detachable/removable via a sliton each side. A button on the inside of the garment fastens each belt half. ) Since the belt is unbuckled. The sweater hangs straight.

If worn normally, as it’s meant with the buckle in the back, it gathers in slightly with a slight peplum effect in the small of the back. But the effect is as if you tucked the bottom back of the sweater into pants. Two side vents would allow the garment to straighten out in front. Approx 3800USD, but I imagine 25- 30% less at FSH.

ETA: bc it’s wool, not cashmere, it’s not as warm. That’s a plus for me in a thick sweater. :) It would look great with trousers, denim jeans, and Jaime boots ;)

ETA: for an extra 1100USD, my DH bought a great sportscoat which I posted upthread. In my opinion a jacket is always a better deal, but this sweater is lovely nevertheless.
