Was literally about to say the same thing! Headed there and Pulo later this year.

We love Amanpulo too. Though I’m not great at navigating while driving the golf cart, and I was horrified that they used plantains for banana turon. Will try Siargao next time.

Pics of eating in Niseko Park Hyatt (we loved the wok fried chicken with sichuan pepper salt; ma po tofu; and chow fun with wagyu, that we went twice); Hokkaido scallops and miso grilled fish; Japanese airport snacks; lamb course in Tokyo (l’effervescence); and for almost comic relief, a seafood restaurant in Malaysia that my family dragged us to . . . (Not worth it; jumbo seafood, ion mall, is a lot easier to access) and we had to eat outdoors lol

DH’s H cashmere sweaters; feutre tpm; sac a depeches 21; h08; h dark gray men’s cargo pants
Last pic, I’m in the left wearing men’s Hermes khaki pants with ebene leather trim, size 38
Sizing was so odd this past season that I also wear a 36 women’s H cargo. . .

ETA: OT, but so strange there is some kind of fiddle folk techno rap music crossed with Japanese sword fighting dancing and Star Wars light saber Exhibition going on, I decided to share. , . Ended in a fireworks display.

Alas, if only H made clothing for men who are 6'5''+. I'm basically stuck with leather goods and scarves. :-)

I've heard the golf carts can be tricky. I was debating a Pulo visit while I was in Singapore this past Thanksgiving (leaving the bitter cold of Finland, Norway and Switzerland for the tropical paradise that Pulo appears to be. Thanks for the Tokyo recommendations.

Here's some photos from a recent trip to Jena. I couldn't get enough of the carpaccio. Oprah was in residence a few days prior. After the spa renovations are complete it should be a major upgrade. Nobu was also nice. As was the Chinese restaurant at the MO. High tea at the Royal Mansour was worth the trip as well. May stay there next time to get the full experience. Made a stop by the H store in duty free at CDG and picked up a tie and scarf.

Pulo could use a refresh esp compared to these pics above, but it is charming. And we had fun trying kite surfing lessons. jena is lovely, thank you ! Will add it to the list! The food looks amazing too, happy anniversary! I believe @cravin is also quite tall and has had some luck with H MtM

No problem. PM me if you need more Marrakech suggestions or my friend at Amanjena's info. Did you feel Aman Tokyo was worth it? Even my friend said it's got literally one of the highest average room night price points in the world. Admittedly though, Tokyo seems to be a stupidly expensive city in general. Pretty much everywhere I'd consider for lodging is over $1000USD/night. That said all the reviews of Aman Tokyo have been stellar. Pulo, Yara (because it's close), Gani, Giri and Wella are all on the list. Trying to decide which one(s) is a toughy...
Thank you! Pm-ed you
I didn’t want to derail this thread too much lol

FINALLY made my first trip to the Madison boutique yesterday! I was a little disappointed that they no longer had a Kelly maxi on display, or a B40, but I did get to try on a Bolide backpack and the videpoche which I’ve been curious about. Also asked about a blue hydra Evelyne in larger sizes but no luck there either (which is probably good haha).

I did eventually get to play with a B40 and K42 at FP later that day, which was a lot of fun and very informative.

What are your tought’s on k43?
I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would honestly. I really liked that it had a shoulder strap, but it has the look and feel more of a briefcase than a day to day bag. Also, needing to fasten and unfasten it seemed like a drawback. The only time my B35 was fully fastened was when I took it out of the box. If I worked from an office instead of WFH it might be a good fit for me. I also liked that the B40 was more spacious on the inside.

Hi, I was wondering if there is any bags can fit in a 14-inch laptop (ideally crossbody or backpack)?
Would Kelly 42 Maxi be a good choice, or too heavy for daily basis? How about Birkin 35 or 40 (seems that 40 is very rare)? Thanks so much!

Among what I have, so far I only found Kelly messenger GM and Herbag messenger work well. Others can fit but do not work well: HAC 40 (even a canvas one is too heavy and handles are too short), Kelly 35 (seems that the handle and the lock not solid enough for heavy load), Herbag 39 (strap is a bit short for me), Jypsiere 34 (marginally small, cannot lock), Evelyne 33 (too soft, especially the bottom part), Lindy 34 (just marginally fit), Herbag backpack (slightly small), Garden Party 36 (handle too thin and soft for heavy load).
Any other choices?

Does anyone (@WhiteBus perhaps?) have the weight ranges of
B40 versus HAC 40

I compiled a list of some others a long time ago

used my baking digital scale and weights are in grams for the most accuracy

Birkin and Kelly weight by grams

25B epsom sellier, 605 grams
30B togo, 893 grams
30B barenia, 754 grams
30B swift, 869 grams
30B vache liegee, 916 grams
35B clemence 1220 grams

25K epsom sellier with shoulder strap, 584 grams
28K quadrille, 718 grams
28K box sellier, 765 grams
32K box sellier, 846 grams

BBK longue wallet that i use as a clutch is 482 grams

B40 definitely can accommodate that. The so kelly 26 is actually pretty large too. The largest cityback backpack is a really wonderful bag. I offer a reconsideration request for the garden party- it is a surprisingly hardy, tough, resilient bag that I have found to be a real workhorse. It is often stuffed to capacity and just takes it all in stride. Others: victoria 43, larger sac a depeches...they aren't crossbody or backpacks but they'll work, size-wise.

Thank you so much for sharing. Super helpful! I have been searching for so kelly 26 for a while but hardly see a good one.
Regarding garden party, I completely agree that capacity is super good and the Negonda leather is pretty resilient. The only concern is that the carry handles are so tiny and soft, maybe they are indeed strong?

I have had several garden partys and have never had an issue w the handles…and I have really loaded up those bags! They are definitely never empty haha. I don’t have huge hands so I appreciate the feel of the GP handles.

Thanks a lot! Then it should regain my love. You have an amazing collection of (large) bags! Have you thought about Kelly 35/40/42 or kelly messenger gm?
