Will do for sure. Looks a bit more casual than the kelly messenger and the rectangular size has more room inside (vs the triangular shape of the kelly that narrows toward the top. It's also a whole lot easier to open with the zipper closure and it's nice to have the front pocket. I plan to use this bag more daily and am not going to worry about it as much as the kelly messenger so I will be able to report on how it handles scratches, etc. it also has small metal feet on the bottom which is very nice

Great to hear! My SA in Madison keeps delaying the offer for me intentionally, so I am also actively searching for the reseller route as you suggested. (Thanks for your DM responses!)

This is literally what my SA told me on ordering them for the boutique. No more details unfortunately.

I overheard that someone got a B40 offered but declined in NYC. Please see: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/share-your-recent-bag-offers-thread.1057915/post-35905210. This also made me realize how my SA is a complete liar and manipulative. My real question is if all SAs at H are trained like this to play the game with the clients.

My only hope for now is to find a honest SA that I can trust and shop w/... Is it possible though?

I hope you have also challenged your SA face to face with this accusation.
Not likely at all that I have challenged my SA. (1) I was invited for an Hermazing event by my SA, and (2) my SA also gave me a special gift for Chinese new year (which is a limited edition/quantity that H corporate produces). So, the assumption that I may have challenged my SA is highly unlikely.

PS. You said, "I hope..." - I would never challenge my SA about this. I would just move on and find a better SA in the future.

To answer your first question: it's seeming more and more likely.

Yes. All SAs at H are like that. Fact of Hermes life. So, it will be the same whoever you move on to.

Questions for guys: [Q1] When you guys have a men's bag [non-quota bags only] in mind, how quickly do you get it from your SA?

I shop at the Madison store in NYC, and I have been asking my SA for a Maxi Kelly bag (size of 42 cm; black and palladium) since it came out in September last year. My SA said I could get it around Thanksgiving, and then changed the words to "by the end of year," and it is now unpredictable. I don't understand why my SA doesn't keep the words. To clear up my mind, I plan not to shop with the SA until the bag is offered. I am still curious if this is usual for guys looking for men's bags.

I got a Lindy 26 (black/gold hardware) as a walk-in in Greenwich, CT without any history at all. I also got an offer for Kelly Depeches 38 (navy) [this is a briefcase] as a walk-in in CT but I declined it due to its color and it doesn't come with a strap. Given this, I thought non-quota bags can be easier if I have a good relationship with the SA (or even if I have no relationship at all).

[Q2] Also, for those who have Maxi Kelly, is it competitive to get it? (My SA used to say repeatedly that mens' bags are not competitive and they are usually availability-based.. How am I missing my chance if I visited the store almost every [other] week?)

I am now leaning towards to change an SA/store and/or take a break once I get the bag, but I hope to hear some of experiences from guys who shop at H regularly. Thank you!
Hi there, I was there in Nov and was offered the bag (Kelly Maxis) and declined it. I think it varies from SA to SA. They also look at your purchase history

Thank you. I already spent 30K+ (before taxes) with my current SA alone and I wouldn't consider that my purchase history is a problem. Right now, my SA offered Maxi Kelly in a color that I don't want. So, I am patiently waiting at the moment. Thank you for your response! :)
