This thread is fun. Thanks for posting! I have to admit though, while these jewels are truly impressive and over the top, Brooke Astor, Baroness W. Langer von Langerdorff, Muffie Potter Aston and Imelda Marcos look truly frightening in their choice of makeup and clothes! What are they thinking??! I guess one cannot assume that tons of money necessarily buys good taste (Sorrry, dont' mean to sound too *****y...)

Marie-Chantal has some fabulous jewels. Not only from the former Greek royal family but from her wealthy parents. I always found that even for the "bling" pieces they were pretty tasteful.
