I believe they both own their businesses, she's also know for Market America which promotes products across America. For example she introduced Kimora Lee Simmons when she was launching a new clothing line and there was probably 10k people in the audience. All business owners looking for new products to sell. Seems to be v lucrative. They've also done product lines with various celebs La La (Motives), Eva Longoria.
They have the jewellery line (that we always see the Kardashians wearing) and I've got to say some pieces are stunning and totally covetable. Can't remember the name, lorensjewels.com or something

Typically these businesses are financed by husband or family money. They create businesses to keep busy and they don't necessarily have to make money from them to keep them viable.

Ivanka *****'s high end jewelry store comes to mind, it was located on Madison Avenue and not doing well and has since moved downtown. And F*D on the upper east side which sells very high end pre-loved jewelry and pre-owned Hermes and Chanel handbags at a premium. That's Fiona Druckenmiller, wife of hedge fund billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller.

These women, like the others, need something to do and they're fortunate they have the means to create these businesses.

But it's clearly not how they made their money or where the funds come from to buy those birkins.

That's definitely true but in the Lorigers case, I don't think the money comes solely from the husband. I believe they both built it up and she has a bigger impact than he does. Going by interviews, media presence and their websites. They don't come from money, they are self made.
Saying that, I do wonder how much money they really have. They seem to live such a lavish life (two unbelievable mansions in Miami- one for parties, the other for living) - do those businesses really bring those kind of returns?

^^ Loren and JR Rodinger. I went to a party Versace hosted at one of their homes in Miami-beautiful! Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Bensimon, Russel Simmons etc were all in attendance. It was on the water with a yacht parked in the back garden!

Would someone id Ms. Rudge's outfit in which everything is the same white and grey print--jeggings, blouse, jacket? Don't think I could do it but I think she looks darling! And the blue B really pops. Note to self: Wear BJ Birkin with grey clothing more! :p
