when it rains it pours ...totes!!! Another bag I never thought I"d be able to afford... a GIGI!! But this one didn't get any other bids on it, so I managed to grab her for $190! It's not unusual for these to sell over $300. And it came with a nice humongous dust bag!! She's in really GREAT condition. (patent/color transfer can be tricky if it is stored improperly) So, I am happy. I want a Walnut Vachetta one the MOST, but the cool thing about the patent is it's not as torturously heavy as the Vachetta, and living in a climate with a fair amount of rain and snow, means patent works for me!!

ebay bargain twins on this bag!
you got a sweeter deal, but i paid under $300, so I'm happy
I've loved this bag since it was released back in 2008 (I think)
I also llive in snowy/rainy area, so partent bags are the majority in my collection

haven't carried this one yet, but love it!

oh cool. I only saw a couple ever sold on ebay, so one must have been yours ;). I put the bid in on this one just assuming I'd get out bid and didn't even think more of it til I checked my ebay later in the evening!! Happy dancin'. :yahoo:

Came across her on eBay and said - gotta have her! Coach Audrey 14241; MSRP was (I think) $898 but she made it to outlets a couple years ago for less...I paid $160 shipped and she was NWOT! :D

The leather is so interesting. It feels pretty durable and the gold is just divine... I think the thing I like most is the legacy lining!

Thanks for letting me share! :smile1:

Edit: sorry about the bathroom picture, ha.

That's a really nice bag. I'm so jealous. You find great deals on eBay. Are most of your finds BIN? That seems like that's the only way I can win anything, lately.

Thank you! I was kind of on the fence when I saw her online, but that lining really won me over! And in person...

oh wow, that is nice! (Coach Audrey 14241)

Thanks! :smile1:

Thank you so much! :smile1:

A lot of times, my deals are BIN, but my "secret" is communicating with the seller and making offers. More often than not, my offers are rejected or go unanswered, but for the deals I do get, it's definitely worth it!

One thing that works in my favor is that many sellers have no clue what the "market value" of their bags are, so even if their listed price is pretty low, I always ask if they'll go lower and I always say that my "offer" includes the shipping price. Also, if an item is ending soon and it's an auction without bids, I say something like, "I saw that the listing will end in less than an hour and there aren't any bids. If it doesn't sell, would you consider $xx?" So on one hand, sometimes I get lucky and the bag doesn't sell and the seller accepts my price after the auction ends, but a lot of times, I "miss out" on bags because someone else bids. At that point, I could bid and pay the listed price, but I get this set number in my head of what I am willing to pay and won't go over.

However, for this bag, there was a reserve on the price and she had had the bag listed previously. After the auction ended, I asked her if she would consider selling it for the price it sold for and she accepted.

To sum it up, yes, a lot of my finds are technically BIN, but they start out as auctions that don't sell or the seller agrees to add a BIN price for me. HTH! :smile1:

Pretty sure the best offer does nothing with shipping even if you write it in. So just in case that happens sometime. If the seller does that for you that is nice.
