good point . . . DH and I are about to build another home and I told him I want a fireproof floor safe under a rug:yes:
Jamie, I know that doesn't help, but it's a good reminder for the rest of us.

I wish there was something I could do:cry:
I'm just sick for you.

You can buy just a small one that is unfortunately able to be carried away but if it is just to hide your things while someone is in the house it will serve the purpose, you can get it in any office depot or any store like that I think even Sams or Costco carry them. I have a built in that is almost 2 tons so it isn't going anywhere anytime soon but we have to have one.

I do have a safe..and lots of things are in it...just not that watch. The more I think about it, the more my heart hurts. If you could have seen my dads face when he bought me that watch...he was so excited!!! I had been working my ass off in our hotels and he was so excited to reward me. We went out to dinner after and as we were walking to the restaurant he turned to me and said honey, want to have a quick walk through Louis Vuitton? (uh...YEAH....) we looked at handbags, he said...get whatever you want honey...I said. YOU pick! (I said the same thing with the watch) We just had a wonderful time shopping that day. My now husband was like...OH GOD...what am I getting into!! LOL Anyway, I will replace the watch with the same one that is missing. It will never be the same but I have to have it. Its like part of dad for me. ugh...I can not tell you how sick I am about it. Thanks for the kind words.

sorry to hear that. in this world have many people will do many bad things to others.
yesterday someone break my bf car mirror and take my gym bag(lots of things inside), shoes, my bf gym bag n transformers that my bf just bought. me n my bf was really sad.
why they want to do like that no one know right???

i'm so sorry about this - i truly feel for you. my grandma's good gold chain and some charms have been missing ever since we had to sell her house and she moved into the nursing home. it makes mom and i sick because we know how much she loved those - she got them in italy and they are irreplaceable.

i hope they turn up - warm good luck finding the lost item thoughts are coming your way

I truly know how you are feeling!! It has been 7 weeks since our burglary...and I try to just not think about my jewelry...because I end up mourning something I had forgotten about!! Filling out the insurance claim and listing each piece was torture!!! I really feel for you, and am so sorry about your things!!

You know what is beautiful? Not the watch but the memory that you have of that day...the watch is just a tangible proof of the memory. They didn't steal that- nobody can ever steal that from you and you don't need the proof or the reminder. Buy the replacement watch and go on as if this never happened. You know that your dad would not want you feeling a moment's regret over the gift that he gave you. It wasn't a watch after all, it was his love:yes:.
