I came home from several months of traveling and as I was unpacking and organizing my closets I decided to check in on my jewelery. I am missing one of the Rolex watches that my Father bought for me on one of our last shopping sprees together before he passed away. Im also missing a diamond cross pendant and another diamond and peridot pendant. Im just sick about it. Mostly regarding the watch! I have been FRANTICLY going through the ENTIRE house looking for it. I am a very organized person so I have a hard time thinking I misplaced it. We have been renovating over the past year, and have had several different house sitters while we were away but they are my friends! There has been alot of people in and out of our home. I just can not understand why the watch would be gone...why that one? There were many other things that would have been easier to grab...for sure. It meant so much to me and I have been crying so much about it. I know its just material but it was such a special memory of a wonderful day spent in NY with my Dad that I miss so much! I am going to start the process with my insurance tomorrow. Wish me luck.

i am so terribly sorry about what has happened. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to lose something that has so much sentimental values to you. Hope the insurance company can at least compensate some of the monetary values. Good luck on that!

Im sorry about your jewery. Some things are just not replaceabe. A necklace my mother gave me , that meant a lot to me turned up misssing where I used to work, it was Holloween and we were all getting changed into costumes, I left the necklace in our office and it turned up missing. I was crying for days, I left a note explaining it was a treasured memory and nothing. Im so sorry. I hope it turns up fo you.

Oh I am so so sad for you.......... I DO truly hope that dear piece turns up.

Not only would I be deeply sad, but angry too!

I'm sorry, but I cannot help but think that one of the housesitters must have stolen it! I know you said they are your friends, but seriously, I think you would know where you moved something so precious to you! Plus, there are other pieces missing!!! Someone is a very very untrustworthy friend who is a cheating lying **:censor:** scumbag!

Whoever took it probably knew they could get away from it b/c you said there were multiple sitters, so there was no way to pinpoint who did it.

I do hope this somehow gets resolved.

Hopefully the thief has a "change of heart" and atleast the watch "magically" turns up somewhere.

This has happened to me and one of my EX-FRIENDS, only with my entire DVD collection! Only you're watch is far more important, not only in monetary value, but in sentimental value.

I wish I could interrogate everyone who was in the house for you!!

I'm so very sorry, and I hope that it does turn up in your house. I know the worst part is that the watch was a special reminder of your Dad- please try to remember that it was a material item, and that your Dad is still and always will be in your heart and precious memories. No one can take those from you.

Oh no, that's terrible...I wish we could all go after whoever stole it. I hate when people take advantage of others, especialy when they're vulnerable...
When my grandma moved down with us a few years ago before she passed, she had some stuff that my mom is now wondering where it may be. We weren't able to be up there with her while the movers were packing her things, but it makes me angry to think that someone may have taken advantage of her since she was older.

I really hope you're able to recover it, I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you.

J!! I'm so sorry! How horrible! You don't have a safe?? Even a small one would be a good investment for you  I know you have many lovely things I'm so sad to hear this
