They're Both Classics. Actually the Damier was created 1st than the Mono Print.
Also the Mono Speedy 30 was voted Hot Bag of the Summer. I remember a thread recently regarding that:

i still prefer the Mono to the Damier. in fact the only Damier pieces i like are the Papillon 30 and the Saleya. i think the Damier Speedy looks a bit funny, either because i'm not used to seeing it in Damier, or because i have the Mono Speedy 25 and prefer that line.

the Mono Speedy will always be in. like LV_addict said, it will probably outlast everything else, because it has become one of, if not the, most timeless and classic bags around.

I think others can pull off the checked pattern of the Damier, but I never felt it looked right on me.

This question has been asked frequently by many people, "Has the mono speedy becomes old?"

ONCE AND FOR ALL.......mono speedy will never go out of style. Who cares about trends anyway? If you love it, just buy it. THe fewer the people there are carrying one on the streets, the better it will be.
