That is a bit odd. I mean, it's something like a $130 dollar difference between the demi and the medium, right? For it to be the same length but only a couple inches higher...I don't know how I feel about that. I'm hoping the demi doesn't wind up being too small for me, but it really seems a bit weird that the length of your medium and the size of the demi is apparently the same.

Nah I love the bag! I would have prefered it to be a little larger but it fits me well enough, or at least you ladies will tell me when I show piccys. It's not tight under my arm and I can put it over my shoulder with one hand. =)

Wow shoulderbabies the large is like the size the medium is suppose to be only taller. XD

I honestly think all the Carlys should resize to the new cotton size. The Large Cotton Carly cant' look bad on anyone, I'm convinced of that. ;)

If you look at the picture of the demi on coach.com you can see a seam along the top of the purse that sits about an inch from the top top edge. That is where the zipper lays - so effectivley you lose that in the usable height. Coach says the demi is 5 1/2 inches high. Only 4 1/2 inches high is inside the zipper. If you have a french purse wallet you may be able to close the zipper......just.

Well I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of the demi. you might actually like the medium sized if it's too small. It's a small bag but not TOO small. =)

I just measured my large camel leather Carly and you're right. At the widest point of the top of the bag itself, not including the straps/hardware, it is 15" across. However, if I measure from the outmost edges of the little leather loop things on the sides, it's 17". So it looks like Coach includes the detailing/hardware in the size measurements, which seems like a strange way of doing it. Measured from the bottom of the bag to the top, it's 13" high.

Wow thats a dumb way to do it if you ask me. They should measure by the side of the bag that's going to be holding all your stuff. =P

Well even so, the medium Carly on top I measured only 12"! Well it's more 12.5 now that I remeasure it...

hmm so basically the medium carly is the same dimensions as my soho tote (i think it is called) #9544

I don't carry many things with me...I LOVE large bags but I really have no need for them since what I carry is minimal. Usually it's just my cell phone, lip gloss, pack of gum, car keys and a mini skinny. So I'm thinking the demi will be fine for me. It's just a matter of how comfortable it feels on my arm.

I swear the FedEx guy is trying to drive me insane. He's passed through my house 3 times already without stopping to give me my package! I have to leave in an hour and I guarantee he'll come right after that. Damn you FedEx man!!!

Congrats on your new Medium Signature Carly. That is a really sharp bag! What are you going to do about the Chocolate Carly? Are you keeping two Carly's even though they are different in coloration? Please let us know. I saw the cotton Carly at my boutique yesterday. I liked the size of it.

The Cotton Carly is a GREAT size. I wish the Regular Carly was that size. =P I don't think I'll keep the cotton. I decided in the end I want the Khaki Sig because it's easier to keep clean. I don't want to have to CONSTANTLY be worrying about keeping my bag clean. =P I'm going to have to improvise because the Large Carly looks WAY too big. I think I'll manage with the medium. I would be happier if the Med. Carly was the size the damn site said it was. =P Oh Why can't the large be the size of the Large Cotton!
