Yeah, shouldn't the final sale and 50% be more obvious? Not only was she sold an item that was defective but she wasn't given the discount. That doesn't sound right.

I agree with this. Even though they are willing to do a price adjustment, she still has to take the time to go back for it. Not to mention her disappointment which is totally understandable imho. I'd be so upset if it were me!
